Release date announcement (Patreon)

Content

Beta testing and proof reading are ongoing.

The Patreon release dates of Being a DIK: Season 1 will be:

+$25 tiers: January 10

+$10 tiers: January 13

+$5 tiers: January 24

The release date for the Steam version hasn't been set, yet.

I've been working on it and testing DLC builds for the future seasons.

When the Steam version is released, Being a DIK: Season 1 will be available in the $10 tier on Patreon, as I must treat customers as equal as possible (Steam policy).

Have a Happy New Year!

Hello can someone please tell me if I can still download the game on iOS ? I had an Android before but now I’ve changed to iPhone. Thank you

Alex

Hurray, early birthday present :D Thanks for all the work you put into this and I wish you a happy new year aswell :0

stanyslas Yxupis

I'm really looking forward playing the whole season 1 in one go ! Keep it up !

Heavenly Demon

Great way to start the New Year. My body is ready for Jill & Bella (i'm gonna dream & be optimistic that MC can have them both. lol) Also, an odd question & maybe a bit personal: Dr Pink, do you have any New Year resolutions? Personally i WILL lose some wait this year, i'm not that big anyway but i've gotten a little too lazy this past year.

Riblit

Can't want MrPinkCake Also kinda want a answer to ma question awhile back on Twitter but I know ya busy so love ya 😍& happy holidays u crazy epic bastard & Happy New Year from nz

"When the Steam version is released, Being a DIK: Season 1 will be available in the $10 tier on Patreon, as I must treat customers as equal as possible (Steam policy).", so if donate $10 january 12 will i get early access on the 13th?

franzo
>>30571915

dont think so because: "The release date for the Steam version hasn't been set, yet."

gamersglory

If you releace the stem vertion a month after the patreon releace you don't have to do anything. But it's a good thing to do right by those that funded you makeing the game in the first place

DrPinkCake
>>30579842

Patrons are the one who makes this possible. Steam helps but I would have to go back to my old job. Naturally, patrons will get the early access treatment as thanks.

kyanfury
>>30579842

you are a talented developer and believe me i had my share of good for nothing developers... that being said i still think you should hire a team, its too much work to be doing all by yourself

DrPinkCake
>>30579842

Thanks for the concern, really! Yes, it is indeed hard work. The hardest work I've ever done in my life, but damn...I enjoy every single second of doing this. I do get help with proof reading and beta testing, which helps tremendously, but the thing about this whole business for me is creation. I want the game to be 100% me, even if it takes a bit longer to complete. When it's finally done I want to be able to look at the game and say "Yep. That's me. I did all of that.". It's a bit narcissistic, but I wouldn't enjoy working on this as a team. And nothing kills a project faster than a dev not loving what they do. I know players of these games have concerns like, will the game be put on hold, will the dev burn out, will the game be abandoned? It's definitely a risk if you don't know what you're working towards and have a game plan. I have written the entire layout for the story of the game. So, I know its boundaries and that I will complete it eventually, as long as I just continue working and finding ways of working smarter.

tezster

Wish it was sooner, but as they say, good things come to those who wait. Happy 2020!

Aldo Adiputra

Can't wait to start over playing the full season 1! Marked my calendar for Jan 14th (I'm in Asia). I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but as season 1 launch is looming closer, the excitement for season 2 development is getting real, but no pressure Doc! Keep doing things your way

Ian Stewart

I'm confused. This message says that season one will be released for +$10 tiers on January 13, but it also says that the release date for the $10 tier will be the date that the Steam version is released (which you've just announced in February 14). Is January 13th still on?

DrPinkCake
>>30847038

Steam and Patreon versions aren't the same. All info here is correct. Pledge $25 this month and the game is unlocked Jan 10 for you, pledge $10 and it's Jan 13 and finally pledge $5 for Jan 24. Steam version is released February 14th. When this happens, the game here on Patreon will be moved to the $10 tier, because I must treat Steam and Patreon customers as equal as possible. I hope this explained what you were asking.

Ralcen

Hi There! Great news! I can´t wait to finally see it!

Ralcen

Where is the difference between the steam and the patreon version?

Darius1994

admittedly i found this game pirated and omg i love the music and the plot twist cant wait for the next episode because i will defiantly be subscribing.

Sean Livengood

Can't wait for release on Friday! Games has been amazing up until this point and can't wait to see the different possibilities for the characters as Season one comes to a close!

Scorpio9905

I won't have access for game until Monday, will it come with a guide for episode 4?

DrPinkCake
>>31034465

The guide isn't ready yet. It's a lot of work on the guide alone and I won't have it ready for releases. Get used to seeing the guide released weeks/month after each update.

AssMan

Dude! Just finished Season 1 on a perfect DIK run. Absolutely love this game! Also did a chick run but screw that I'm more of a Quinn/Sage guy haha. Can't wait for Season 2 and keep up the awesome work!

Michael Fenix

Played through season 1 and love the game overall. The mini games are a little tedious and could be made a little easier. Plus please say your gonna put a possible ending that get's those two very deceptive girls expelled. Our character deserves some revenge like that and it's worthy of being a massive DIK.

Enforcerp

Great episode 4 but im thinking there is a twist coming in regards to Jill. Im not going to spoil the surprise or ruin it but some things are starting to get suspicious.

Enforcerp

That just sounds mean Michael, those two are gorgeous and sexy, ya gotta start thinking with you dick instead of your negative side. They are sorry and torn up about what they did, dont torture them.

Michael Fenix
>>31154725

maybe I went a different path than you in ep.4 but in mine when given the option they turned down the dick together when given the chance, so as the Emporer says give in to your negativity.

Asura Shadow

man i hope will we be DIKs cuz i think from list we dont throw eggs on preps

Enforcerp

I noticed that too. Unless Derek did it and just hasnt told us yet.

Enforcerp

I also wonder how Maya is going to take when she finds out that in order to get free tuition she has to work the glory hole

Asura Shadow

i think jossy will work at strip club lilly say something about her also wonder what sage was doint that last night

Enforcerp

I just ran through the game the second time, the first time i played it as a DIK, this time I played it as a chick and i got both Maya and Jose. Im so happy i love those two.

dAAAMN313

Are you sure you are using the Patreon version of the game?

SEELEW

How exactly do i download this game?

Axxz

When will the Season 2 drop?

Adam Eberts

Why is the $100 donation tab out of stock.... and I'm always curious as to see when Season 2 will drop! <3

DrPinkCake
>>35238715

It's a popular tier and I sadly have limited time for making custom renders. Your best bet is trying to snag it at the end of a month, if someone drops off. Last time that happened, the spot was filled within minutes. I always announce an empty spot in the announcement channel on my discord channel.

Jesse

I would have gladly went for the $100.00 myself but I'll settle with $75.00 To have the chance for that early access is worth every penny.
