Im no developer by any means and this might be a dumb question but is it 'THAT' much more work to support 4k in game?

Short answer, yes. Long answer: Approximately 4 times the size of the binary (game would be 40 GB right now instead of 10 GB) and render times would be up to 4 times longer as well. Then there are graphical limitations of RenPy that would cause it to run poorly on low-end PCs.

Im certain you have bigger things to do than respond to me, and esp a new patreon supporter not a longstanding one..i had asked you on twitter before this and never recieved a response so i was hoping maybe by subscribing you could point me in the right direction to do what you do..Where do u make the models for the characters in terms of software, and what coding language do you use for base game? Im a beginner developer with some experience in java, python and now im working in .NET / .Net Core .ASP but starting with C# of the three.

With regard to the models, that is a topic any help at all would be extremely helpful. It's one thing thinkin you are on the right track to do something, only to invest alot of time and realize you are not in the right place at all. im not sure this tracks to what you do, but im aware of the 3d asset design pipe.line to an extent, render, modelling, rigging, animations etc. i know about blender3d, maya, among a few others. (None of which im proficient in) anyway, a sentence or two with programs or pointing me to a documentation would be totally awesome and good enough to get me started. You are the best by the way, thanks and keep doing what you do. Cheers :)

Game is based on renpy which is python variant, models are 3d most likely using of DAZ 3D.
