Testing is going well. We are currently evaluating the save transfer system and haven't encountered any big bugs yet.

Because of the current state, I feel confident enough to announce the release date for the Interlude.

The release dates of Interlude - Riding the Waves here on Patreon are:

Huge DIK tier and above (+$25): Friday, March 4

DIK tier and above ($10/$15): Monday, March 7

Mini DIK tier ($5): Friday, March 18

Mini DIK tier information

The Mini DIK tier ($5) will grant access to the base Season 3 game for this release on March 18th. You can patch this version in the future from the Mini DIK tier.

When Episode 9 is released, the base game is found in the DIK tier, and patches will be available from the Mini DIK tier.

Interlude information

The Interlude is the first update of Season 3.

You can expect an hour-long episode focusing on Zoey.

The update is roughly 2.6 GB. This means you will need at least 5.2 GB to unzip the folder.

Furthermore, you will need to have saved at the end of Season 2 to play Season 3. You can play Season 3 using saves from the end of Steam, GOG, and Patreon versions.

This release is for Patreon only. Steam and GOG will get the full Season 3 when it's fully developed.

Great to hear. One question. Do the Software automatically finds my end saves from Season 2 or do I have to copy and paste it?

Unless you play on Steam/GOG, you won't have to wait for S3 to be fully developed, you will be able to play through every episode individually here from Patreon once they're out

Will we have some sort of tutorial to recover the S2 to S3 saves (if we change PC for example), like where are they located and stuff ? Cause I remember not seeing them in the saves folder if I'm correct Hyped to play the Interlude ! :)

Hey, DPC! First of all, you are a gifted writer. Really, I haven't been so engaged in the characters before this game; and the soundtrack is just superb! OK, now the question. Would you be so kind as to tell the super-rough estimate for the release date of Season 3 on Steam? Again, an expected(roughly) year or a range would be enough; I know that the launch date could be shifted, but I'll take any information. Thank you so much again for the beautiful game you're making.

Nothing in game for that, but you can always ask and we'll help pointing you in the direction. The transfer file is located here: %appdata%/RenPy/persistent It's named BeingADIKSeason2Transfer* followed by a string of digits. To change PCs, the best thing to do is to copy the entire RenPy folder to your new PC to recover everything.

I don't do rough dates like that, even for single episodes. I only announce dates when I'm sure, to avoid disappointment and stress. I have four episodes to develop before Season 3 is complete, so it will be a while.

Once I get interlude how can I move it to my current game should I just merge the new chapter with the game folder I'm sorry I'm new to this and thanks I really like the game :)

Don't merge the games, this will cause errors. Think of it as a new game that automatically detects your saves from the old game. Just extract the game and play.

I discovered the game on Steam and have been playing it through there. If I want to play the interlude when it comes out do I need to get the full season 1-8 version from a higher tier to play?

No. You can get any Season 3 version and continue from your Steam saves.

Ok so now I'm confused, does that mean once season 3 is out if we want to start a MC we will have to do it from 2 separate "Games" or by then will it be all one file? Sorry if this was answered before.

If you want to replay the game from Episode 1, you do so using v0.8.2 (Patreon) or Season1 on Steam/GOG. Season 3 uses the saves you create at the end of Season 2. Season 3 has its own executable file too.

Ok I understand now. The way I read the first post it seem like at the end of season 2 it was going to give a message similar the old video games "please insert disc 2" Yes, I'm that old.

Or if you purchased the game through Steam you can redownload the game from their. If you don't have the computer, then you'll have to replay the whole game from the $25 tier or Steam/GOG versions unfortunately. If you can recover the data, you will need the base Season 3 game from the $5 tier in March. You'll need the persistent file for the save transfer that is located in : %appdata%\RenPy. Just copy the whole folder and paste it to the same location on your new computer. DPC explained it when I asked earlier you can scroll up comments 😉

I agree on that, one of the reason why we have a lot of save slot. Been saving in different title and status just because the road is different, considered multiple timelines and multiverse. Since I have more than 10 path saved, one episode would get me some time to complete with all these different route.

On Monday, March 7, the Interlude is released to the DIK tier. You will need to have saved the game of any version (Steam/GOG/Patreon) in the save transfer interface to play it.

Maybe longer than that. Steam receives content by the season. While patreon receives each episode as they come out. So steam won’t get until season 3 until episodes 9-12 are finished.

go to your membership details and there will be a section with links regarding the page including one for the discord server. To have full usage though, you will have to link discord to patreon from your profile settings.

The beauty of how DPK has done is you have a choice of that drama path. Im exited for S3 and any character placed in. Love all the different paths you can choose.

So wait quick question, If i finished season 1 and 2 on steam but now start playing the game from patreon, can my saves transfer?

Based on my limited testing with the interlude; I copied my steam saves of out the B.A.D main directory [Steam] steamapps > common > B.A.D > game > saves and placed them in the interlude game folder [Interlude] > game. The renpy client picked up all 14 of my end of season 2 steam saves and I was able to 'Continue' from them with no issues or crashes. Your own mileage may vary, make changes like this at your own risk!
