I was curious and though I liked one of their voices a LOT.

Their music got repetitive and annoying FAIRLY quickly.

Really cute vibes though but I can only take it in small doses.

That's a pretty accurate assessment. Small doses although their music really was of a specific time which in 2024 sounds pretty dated and kinda purposely crazy high and light. That being said, their hits at the time were MASSIVE hits bc they were SO feminine and dainty and cute/innocent. This was a group (similar to Oh My Girl) that really only catered to Korea and didn't really do concepts/songs/sounds that were internationally focused. At their heyday they were the ULTIMATE cute/girly girly girly concept group which in mid 2010s korea ate up.

what's kind of funny/entertaining is it's generally agreed by their fandom that their absolute #1 fan ever is Lee Sung Woo (or Bulldaegal stage name) who is the lead singer of this super punk/hard rock band from the late 90s/early 00s called No Brain. The 2 groups even performed together which was humorous/odd

It's crazy cos i'm an Oh my girl stan cos though they're soo cute too their production has a LOT of western touches whether it's the chord progressions or r&b/funky bass lines.

This was a slog omg, their music is not for me either. Have you ever watched Oh My Girl’s version of Destiny on Queendom? It’s so good if you feel like checking it out in your own time

Koko3op

KYDSFZGSKUAGIUGAUIG slog is the right word. It got annoying real quick. I'll have to check it out

Me too...OMG is my favorite gg of all time. They're just slightly more flexible singers with more varying voice color and they just had better written/produced songs

I was going to wait to come back here but I couldn't wait any longer! I love Lovelyz and I'm so happy that there's some eyes back on them, with their Killing Voice, 10th anniversary song and concert. I totally understand that their cuteness can be a bit too much in a longer format, even though I myself can't get enough of it (especially now that this type of music is getting quite rare in the K-pop scene). I've always appreciated their production and vocals, how intricate and thought out it truly can get and that the albums never had much fluff (subjective I know I know)...hopefully we can someday get a Lovelyz album reaction but no rush! (You'd probably enjoy Sanctuary the most though!)
