Their BEST album to date.

We SIMPLY need more from them cos they're starting to really SIT in their bag of their music!!

I really enjoyed this and the subunits. Hopefully we get an amazing full album in the summer or late summer and then one more mini before dis-gunshot

Hanbins vocals MAN!

Enjoy

The member choice for Cruel is very confusing to me with it having so few vocal moments. I think I’d switch in Jiwoong and Gyuvin with Matthew bc I felt like I was hearing Gyuvin anyway lol and Jiwoong’s voice I think would’ve make it more interesting. Then I could have Hao, Hanbin and Ricky on Step Back, but I agree that chorus was a little underwhelming. I’m kinda impressed with Devil’s Game cause it sounds so much like Ten’s Dangerous at the beginning but then doesn’t give me MJ at all. I can’t wait to see the performances for it too!

I coincidentally woke up 9 on the dot w no alarm for the my😭😭 from the sampler I knew I’d love step back and devil game but cruel surprised me and has my whole heart so so bad this is probably my favourite album from them. Maybe it’s cause I only watched boys planet and started listening to them in October but regardless every song is so so good. I had a feeling you’d like this album after I listened to it all and I love that I was right🤭

Abi

Hearing Jiwoong in step back is so realll like I would’ve thought it’d be him with Ricky and Gunwook but yujin surprised me so I have no complaints. I agree a million parent that the chorus should’ve continued with the more sultry r&b vibe like this song had serious potential to be my over me 2.0 but I’m holding out hope that we’ll get it soon. it’s still good but the chorus limited how good it is

Felixfriedchicken

Devil game sounds like dangerous by ten. Like they must have sampled the exact same bass line

Koko3op

Yeahhh I agree re the vocal moments!!

Koko3op

Yaaaayy you know meee haha

Koko3op

Yesss it was literally Jiwoong!!

Ebony Coco

first time commenting here (might be last cuz sub running out soon) BUTT i got a few things to say EASILY their best album. in all the other albums i felt like one song was much weaker compared to the others, but i GENUINELY had a GREATT time with ALL the tracks. that doesnt happen a lot with me and most albums. i absolutely love them and this album BLUE? might be my favorite tt of theirs so far (on par with in bloom and yura yura). it is insane that they really stepped UP with this album. the tt feels so nostalgic to me and i dont wanna say goodbye (even tho we have a year left) MAKE THEM PERMAMENT! not under wakeone ... but thats a miracle thats very unlikely to come true devils game is EASILY my favorite off the album. from the start it gave me SUCHHH DANGEROUS by TEN vibes and i was like oh yeah I WILL LOVE THIS!! offtopic: i absolutely love your reactions and how honest you are. though i dont agree with some of your opinions, thats what i love because idk it like ENHANCES a reaction! i HATE HATE HATEEEEEEE glorified reactions that like EVERYTHING (like i know ppl can like everything but... IT GETS TO A POINT). i love watching your vids whenever they do come out !! and im a huge woodz fan idk why i brought that up but i just love his artistry HRELP ok

Koko3op

HAHA aww thank you so much and what a great comment to debut with. DON'T GO!! MY SHAYLAAAAAA!! But yeah they did SO WELL with this album man wow.

km

It could have genuinely just been me, but something about cruel reminded me a bit of Xdinary Heroes music, especially some of their earlier title tracks

Ezbai H.

Just to comment on what you mentioned at the end but Doctor! doctor! was actually the pre-release for this album so not sure if that would fall in to the unexpected type of r&b song you were looking for this album? Anyways thanks for your reaction and yes PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE an extension is NEEDED

Koko3op

Yeahh nah Doctor doctor is more on the cute groove side too. I want them to do something like Enhypen Lucifer!

Koko3op

Infact it borders on cafe music lol

Pauly kings

Out of love unit: Hao, Gyuvin and Jiwoong - Cruel unit: Hanbin, Matthew and Taerae - Step Back unit: Gunwook, Ricky and Yujin

Ezbai H.

oh lol Then yeah I do hope they comeback with some solid r&b tracks on their next (hopefully full) album. I need to hear Ricky SINGGGGG for his life, please and thank you :)

Would it be crazy for me to say while I wish more than anything for them to re-sign, I kinda wish they would re-sign with a different company... 😬😂 Idk, I just feel like they have so much that they still have't shown, and while they've released different sounds, nothing has shocked me so much to hear coming from them. I agree on wanting that more rnb sound, something dark and mature would still suit them so well!! (like give me a zb1 version of the 'Over Me' concept or something like that) Every comeback I'm so excited to hear, and I keep having this feeling that it still kinda sounds like the rest of their work? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Could just be me though i guess! This has been my favourite from them aside from Sweat though! I still enjoy their work, I just wish for more from them!

Koko3op

I hearr this!! I do think wakeone has great production and music they have been quite predictable !

nnnicole10

Yesss, no complaints on production!!

Tay

I just started getting into them like a week ago. God damn. I am DEEP in this rabbit hole. Excellent album, excellent group of performers. I’m so locked in.

Fasehah Saiful

I assume you will be reacting to their dance practice after they release it later. but mind checking out also their Devil Game performance on MCountdown? I actually think the choreo save the song !
