ONE THING about YG Artists, they can and will genuinely perform live and with stage presence and full conviction of the lyrics and the message of the song. I can see how present they are in their eyes as they connect with the camera and audience. Makes for a very enjoyable show even when I'm not really enjoying the songs as much.

I love that I could hear imperfections in their vocals and see their focus and confidence whilst producing authentic sounds from within their bodies!

It's safe to say no other girl group comes close to them in terms of live performance at the moment. They become one with the songs and connect in a way that rarely happens nowadays. I truly commend YG for teaching their artists about performing songs when it's more than just choreo. Chiquita was SUCH a stand out, she seems to really get lost in the music. Rora too, what a VOICE! You already know Rami is my girl!

Now for the BAD. The music.

My god. The music. The live band helps A LOT that's for sure but the songs still are what they are, they lack a sense of innovation and do feel super simple which is a let down when you see how amazingly talented these girls are. I want more for them. Imagine them with a song like Step back, BTG (Kiiikiii), In My bag (FLO) or Like Jennie? They deserve so MUCH MORE and I hope it's coming.

Enjoy!

Been following them a bit since one of your recording videos and these gals have got to be the current champions of trying their damndest to squeeze blood out of a stone and make something out of whatever they're being given. So torn on them, on one level I think they deserve every bit of their success in terms of just them doing what they do well and putting the work and energy into it and I'm always happy to see that rewarded, and at the same time the more successful they are doing that the less likely they are to end up on another track I would find more interesting.

Need that shift in musical direction to come NOW. I rly wanted to get into them upon watching their covers and falling in love with their talents, but their music is just…😭 All that aside, they’re such performers seriously I can watch them all day. YG u better not f them up plssssssss😭😭

Babymon is so young yet so talented, that’s what excites me the most around them. Especially Ahyeon, she has so much energy and she needs to know how to use it to her advantage and I’m sure she will. I hope their next comeback does them justice🙏🏻

this sounds like such a backhanded compliment but i swear its not; i just genuinely love how many notes i heard that were messed up considering how manufactured this industry is. hearing the imperfections fr made it felt like i was actually there to experience it rather than behind a screen watching a movie. i hate how perfectionism is so normalized as there's so much beauty in hearing raw and sometimes pitchy vocals. this concert lowkey reminded me about how much rora is underutilized bc the industry favors high nasal sopranos rather than sopranos with more body to their voice. no cause ohmygod when you said ahyeon reminds you of cher lloyd, IT HAD ME SEIZINGGG LIKE HER PERFORMANCE ASPECT REMINDS ME SM OF CHER'S X-FACTOR AUDITION SONG

YES its not back handed at all. I felt the same way! Yess Rora should have bigger vocals moments honestly. Cher Lloyds daughta!!!

I love how they are GENUINELY enjoying singing and performing! You can FEEL their energy, and it's electric! It makes me enjoy their songs so much more. I can see how excited they are that they get to live out their dreams and it's so infectious.

A group like this, full of good/confident vocalists, not harmonising…is kind of a crime, no? Also, I wish they’d cover a slower 2NE1 song personally.

Koko3op

Agreed! I hope it comes with time because they absolutely should!

to speak on the group dynamic they’ve actually spoke on it quiet a lot in interviews and behind the scenes. basically; Rora gets everyone together when the group is traveling or in general at home(dorms) the members all say she has the serious mother role. & Ruka even tho there isn’t a leader is like the leader because she leads in practices, schedules during travel etc. & Rami & Asa lead the group in the studio & based on behind the scenes help the members with arrangements and execution during recordings. these help keep the group focused and in sync but also with everyone giving their input (as u mentioned) and correcting even the girls mentioned above when needed. & the repeat of the songs in casual clothes is their encore it was a part u missed when the audience screams for encore & then they come out again

Koko3op

Ahhh good to know the dynamics and yeah I noticed that with Rami and Asa in the recording.
