Wtf is this?

I actually don't mind the title track as MUCH but in the context of everything else? No.

It's disappointing how generically boy they've become for this album. Where's all the vocal forward production?? And the repetitive chanting phrases absolutely make my blood curdle. In fact it enrages me, it comes across lazy and brainrotty and for SUCH a talented group, it's simply unacceptable.

I do HOPE though that it resonates with Koreans (I think it will) cos the actual sound isn't an issue since it comes across unique, it's the execution I have an issue with.

lmao girlllll. Love knowing I won't get blocked cause when I was listening to it I was like ???? I didn't even like their debut title track, but the bsides on their debut mini were SO much better I was hoping the same would happen here because I did NOT like the title track but when none of the bsides were good I was like oh JYP, what are we doing... It's generic, it's lazy, it's for me dissonant... I just did not have a good time listening to any part of this.

This album is so Disney and that’s really cool for kids and adults who love the Disney aesthetic but for people with different taste buds theres literally nothing here. I get that some like these songs and some times I do to but it gets to a point. But this is just coming from a person who mainly listens to R&B, the song isn’t made for me to understand.

I get what you mean by the singing not being as good makes the songs worst. Songs like Sticker, RBB, and Ring Ding Dong would be repulsive if the groups couldn’t or just wouldn’t sing their hearts out. There are so many songs I only started likening because the artists were singing like Ursula was gonna steal their voice if they didn’t. Songs like this either need really strong vocals or really good melodies…actually I’d prefer both

I listened to this album through your reaction since I didn't want to lose my time with it so I rather listened to it with your reaction. This is such a step down from their debut which was so vocally full and it was made it for me great and I'm missing that in this one. I think it fits with their vibe of skater boys, cool boy vibe and style they have but just that doesn't make it listenable to me. I despised all the la la las and na na nas it made me just annoyed that from like a monster we came to this. The only one I slightly liked was Electricty but that was because of the beat for me to hit it would have ro be so much more eneegetic vocally like tou said NCT 127 would make it. Hoping their next album is better and more in the direction of their debut:). Still gonna be there for the dance practices and performances since I enjoy watching that even when the song is not my cup of tea.

RIGHT I knew we would have the same reaction.. idk why these 5th gen producers are so scared of vocals like let my boy Donghyeon singgg like common now he eats on those instragram posts. I was so excited for this album too I kept listening hoping for something ill like but I guess ill have to keep listening to like a monster until there next comeback😔

no other mini album in its entirety has grated my nerves as badly as this one. i thought maybe i was just in a bad mood first listen but goddd these songs just sour my vibe so terribly. it makes me even more disappointed knowing that the song with what's closest to being an enjoyable melody was the only self produced (written and composed) track which tells me they clearly do want to sing yet their A&R team just has them hooting and hollering for whaaat ?!?!?

Yeah this album was not it. I still stan cuz I know they are capable of more. At least the title track has some nice vocal moments towards the end. Also I agree, the way they muted the vocals/adlibs is so frustrating.

I'm not even gonna lie, I stopped listening to the songs on the album halfway because none were hitting 😭 I really enjoyed their first album but this new one is not it for me 🙏
