ARGH It was going so WELL! Watching their training journey and seeing the range, personality, and raw talent these girls have, it built real anticipation. But to go from that to hearing them debut with underwhelming, generic songs that don’t reflect their capabilities? Honestly, it’s been rough.Still, I’m not losing hope. ‘GNARLY’ proved that when they’re given the right material, they can be electric. All I want now is for KATSEYE to get songs written for them! Songs that reflect their identity, showcase their vocals, and embrace the boldness they’ve already proven they can pull off. They deserve that. And frankly, so do we.

i feel like hxg took too much of the kpop comeback route where all the effort is put into the title track and that is curated for the audience they want to attract. and then the rest of the songs on the album (or ep) are little treats for the fans, only to be performed at concerts. i think hxg should have at least looked at olivia rodrigo (looks like they are targeting a similar demographic) and how her two albums have been so strong because of the stories they tell (and how they can relate to her personal life) and just how intentional the rest of the songs on the album are. chappell, sabrina, olivia, and all the other top pop girls have such strong entire albums when they release them. i don't know why geffen seemingly lost gas after gnarly. i feel like their saving grace is that their choreographies eat and massively carry their music. the girls that got it got it for their first listens of gnarly, but the live performance was what really catapulted it to a huge general audience. gabriella was a generic pop song to me, but the choreography and esp dani has made me pay attention to the song more. so here's to hoping the dance for mia eats

I really wish they had a core musical concept that they stuck with from the get go. It's like they randomly pick a song from a bucket & then make the girls perform it. No changes to the songs, no additions, just pick it and go. Lara's vocal riff at the end of MIA was so pretty just for the song to end & go nowhere. Like do something with the song please. Ps. I love hearing your insights.

Also these songs are way too short. Like how is the gnarly remix with ice spice still under 3 minutes. Excuse me. How'd yall manage that.
