FINALLY.

It could've been so perfect! But you know things happen the way their meant to. At least we have 6 instead of 5 members. The producers knew what they were doing that's for sure.

Sarang was such a stand out here, that tone of hers is sooo addictive.

Love that Jiyoon gave her all but also this gave me an insight into how overwhelming hard choreo can be for her. I think a more laidback YG girl group would've suited her way better but only time will tell cos we need those vocals back!

Jeemin and Jungeun OWNED and were truly stars by this point tbh.

I'm curious, if you were Fuko, would you accept the producers' reassignment or would you fight to keep the rap part? I have this belief that if Fuko had insisted on doing the rap part and done it perfectly in the performance, she might have had a bigger chance to be PD pick.

Ji-yoon is a typical classic main vocalist where singing is her main weapon and dancing should just stay decent enough to blend in with the group. However, I don't think her problem is her dancing skill, it's actually her learning speed and her stamina. Maybe the pressure of doing well and tight schedule have broken her down, I guess. Coz from what I see, one of her last stages with the group in January 2025, they already spoiled "Beep" choreography, which means they have prepared for the comeback way beforehand.

Nah you know what, this was such a journey!! These reactions have been so enjoyable and I'm gonna miss them a lot. Hopefully you'll do another survival show that I gaf about in the future lmao because it's been amazing. Still sad about Jiyoon, but they will be okay I think...hopefully this comeback delivers!

24 and leejung are filthy LIARS considering drip was the only thing either one of them has touched for izna until now. My hopes are high that with 24 on the credits for mamma Mia that they bring back more of the drip like choreo and energy cause that’s what will really set izna apart from other ggs in 5th gen - their dance and performance prowess.

The final lineup was my ideal lineup BUT I still think it’s bullshit how inconsistent teddy was with assigning the songs. Jiyoon and gyuri got given opposite what everyone expected while saebi, fuko, jeemin and koko got the opposite treatment. Then you had people like jungeun, mai and sarang that could’ve gone either way but then they give sarang main rapper when they have exactly 2 people that went for main rapper 2 rounds ago… it’s clear they already had an idea of who they wanted and wanted to check they could do other things which I’m all for but just not in the final and under the guise of a test when it wasn’t that for everyone. They could’ve easily scrapped the all rounder part of the position battle and out sarang in rap then and gyuri and fuko in vocal or something. I can’t remember if I said this in different episode or not but I feel like my ideal svs layout would include everyone doing the same sings whether it’s everyone does the same one or multiple of the same songs. Especially when how the sings are determined flips between the same top ranking people getting to choose or the producers/judges getting to choose cause it’s never fair or a good way for everyone to really show what they can bring to the table and I feel like that’s what a survival show should be about not stupid fake drama. Watching with you is now like my 5th time watching the show and 1 thing I will stand firm in is that jiyoon has the capability to be in izna. Vocally it’s obvious as fuck, dance wise too she’s not at all bad and blends in well with the others. From her departure notice all we know is health was apparently involved. For all we know she really just wasn’t well in some way or another and decided to leave, or it was something else and used that as the reason for why she wanted to leave. Either way I don’t think that her being slow to pick up dances or less confident was a reason. Or it at least shouldn’t have been. Throughout the show they’ve only had like a week for each stage and jiyoon never once faltered on stage in her vocals or dance. Yes in practice she struggled to learn at times but we need to keep in mind that this was all with basically 0 help as the girls are left to their own devices besides the interim check. As an idol it’s the opposite. They have the choreographers, their performance directors/teachers, vocal coach, each other and many other people that come in and help with the process of learning and refining their singing and dancing. Not to mention they have much longer than a week to learn it all considering the amount of time between releases. If jiyoon could learn something like drip in a week with nothing but the help of the other girls and her own determination why wouldn’t she be able to do it with all that AND professional help? I could just be overly optimistic and not want it to be such a disheartening reason as for why she was on hiatus and then left the group but I honestly don’t think that’s it. From the show until now drip and maybe izna are their hardest choreographies (imo). Timebomb is pretty difficult too but I think drip is the most cause of how a lot of it is fast paced moves compared to the others. But anyway jiyoon was there at debut in November and knew all 5 choreography for izna drip timebomb fake it and iwaly. Then we had sign in march. The sign choreo is nowhere near as difficult as izna drip or timebomb and it was sign alone at that. Just the 1 choreo. Beep is harder than sign but still not as bad as the others 3 I said before. I just can’t see that being the reason she’d leave when she’s tackled harder than that already. What frustrates me most is that we won’t know and we don’t really have the right to. It’d be nice if we could but since we can’t all I can do is go with my own ideas. This got away from me whoopsies but yeah I think some people are being too quick to diminish jiyoon’s strength because of the moments of weakness that were focused on in the show and are using these extrapolations to explain her leaving the group. Especially when other groups from survival shows the idols tend to say that the survival show was the worst time for them - she made it through all of that.

ALSO GYURI!! I remember the first time I watched the show I was like gyuri on drip is more evil that jiyoon on drip… she gagged me so bad I took back my words. I still think cute concepts are her bag through and through but the fact that she did so well with drip too and she’s only 15 here? With ample training gyuri is going to be a BEAST of an idol! I don’t want her at fuckass cube (she was rumoured to be in a new pledis gg then cube) 🫩 some decent company needs to come snatch her up QUICK!

THE LETTERS🥺 I’m tearing up like I haven’t seen this shit before Jiyoon needs to comeback NOW saebi can’t be the only crybaby left in izna😭 Interesting that you mention she was the only one who’s dad wrote the letter - it’s cause she was raised by her dad alone, she’s never mentioned and we don’t know anything about her mum.

Thanks for paragraphs at least loool but yeah you make a great point, she managed with some of the harder choreo's! Although I do think she would still be better suited in a group that's more stage presence vibes than hardcore choreo! But only time will telll

One more gripe I have is that they did NOT impulsively pick 7 members. It was always going to be 7. From the logistics of pay to dorms to formations to management and travel and just everything there’s no way they’d just let 5 people - in which only 1 has been steadily involved in their journey thus far - decide to add a whole extra member. It was always going to be 7 and t]I think they said 6 just for it to seem more competitive throughout part 2 and to add the slice twist in the final cause money love to be different🙄 that said I bet they’ll do the same thing w bp2 Also they led fuko on so bad I can’t imagine how fucked yo she was after this. Like I fear it was clear she wasn’t going to make it but I just know she would’ve had so much hope throughout🥺 ALSO just deeped the kep1er girls there will have known fuko from gp so must be extra rough for her and kinda sad for them too (if they knew her well idk if they did)
