Is it just me but did some of the performances feel WAAAY more casual in energy?? I think it's cos the stage is so far away from the people so the energy doesn't translate.

It was nice to watch some groups i haven't seen in other award show performances though.

What a FUN award season.

I thought I was tripping regarding some of the performances. I was like 'why do some of these feel like they were recorded in an empty venue?' Like the crowd was muted or something, it just felt off. Kinda like they were doing stage rehearsals. But nevertheless, I enjoyed watching the performances through your reaction.

That IZNA part sounds like if i could save time in a bottle by Jim Croce to me (title might just be time in a bottle) but i'm also sure since that song is from the early 70's that the meoldy has appeared elsewhere since then but that is what immediately popped in my head once you pointed out that it sounded like something. I felt like le sserafim's set while fun was kind of underwhelming but honestly, maybe they just wanted to take it easy they keep hinting they have a ton on the way this year so i won't give them too much flack on it being like not the most exciting thing. Stray kids went from meh to really good like you said.... I still feel like KiiKii is not getting shown to their full potential (Haum, Kya specifically). Jennie was great energy wise but beyond doing some strength training, i feel like her shoe choice hindered her. She looked like she slipped early on and then got nervous to go all out, but her conditioning has always been a question posed by fans so who knows. I'm sorry, and i know i'll get shit for this probably but ADP continues to bore me and come across so cheesy lol. I just can't get past my issues with them to actually enjoy anything they put out.

As for tws performance I like it, they did great job is just I have been ARMY for so long and never follow other groups, after their enlistment I got to know Boynextdoor -I became onedoor- and watch other groups.. at first I thought the criticism about BTS vocals some of them were true, but whenever someone do cover to their songs or when I re-watch their concerts I realized ppl are just criticize them harder cuz of their fam/fandom.. the more I watch other groups the more respect I have for them (ofc I don't mean others aren't good as they are,but I understand why BTS is the BTS)

I also have been hanging out for a Stray Kids reaction hahaha. I do appreciate how Stray Kids experiment with remixing their songs (I think Ceremony has at least 4 remixes at this point, for example), but that version of Divine was a solid miss for me. The original has so many Korean elements and mixing that with jazz made it sound very messy. Performance wise though - great as always.

GDA's camera work is terrible man. Korean broadcasts seem to have this bad habit to zoom out to the audience and the stage every time a dance break appears. I don't know, they need to find a solution to both capture the artists and the audience at the same time, at those moments. Back to izna, I think Jung-eun not shining through is because her screen time is relatively less. For Sa-rang, someone else pointed out that her part in front of the mic stand was not coordinated well enough. The mic didn't align with her height so it kinda watered down the immersion for the performance. In general, the choice for their outfit that day is not good, in particular Mai's. I think there is a magenta-related theme being used across their year-end stages, allegedly a hint for their next comeback. But then, the outfits for the dancers should have been white to create a contrast.
