My expectations were through the floor but Jay Park made me eat crow.

I thought these boys were going to be boisterous, arrogant and annoying! But they're actually singing and YEARNING for love and being VULNERABLE?!?!?

This is like unheard territory in these times where being cool and nonchalant is what's in fashion.

This is bringing back B5 and B2K vibes and I'M SO HAPPY about it.

Idk if it is going to sound "weird" but I LOOVE the fact that they have such different faces from theirs peers in the generation they are all handsome but I miss the uniqueness from 2/3-4th generation feel likes everybody is looking the same

One thing I realised is that for a debut I feel like kpop had gone down the avenue of it has to be BIG, Hard hitting, and for me that means most debuts have a similar vibe. With Lngshot I feel like they are putting out music they want to do and changing what a kpop boy band can be. From what I’ve heard all the sounds are mainly written by them and they have are in the producing side heavily. Like if you watch their videos on their channel you see them just sitting at the table at night making songs etc. Even their debut Moonwalkin was written by woojin for himself then jay park suggested doing it as a group song instead. They also are doing what people did ages ago like giving food to fans and all that’s exposure trying to build a genuine connection with fans which alos had paid off I think.

I’m so happy that you enjoyed it and I agree 100% with what you said on how there should be honesty in the lyrics and how it would feel more authentic in a way especially since it’s adjacent to black culture. Like the 5th gen groups are killing it but if only there was this authenticity in the lyrics it would be spectacular especially for groups like Lngshot ADP( specifically Tarzan) and Cortis. If only they would do that then I believe that they would go really far in the industry.

As someone who is a quiet Jay Park listener especially his more R&B pop songs their sound makes sense to me. There’s a lot that can be said about Jay Park but you can’t deny he’s a good producer, has a good ear, and knows how to navigate the industry. I don’t see myself returning to this set of songs (not due to anything except personal preference the production is there) but it did what it needed to do. Show each members talents, chemistry and vibe as a group, and set intrigue. I got my eye on them.

The moment I heard about this group debuting I knew they were going to be good. Say what you want about Jay Park, but he is a true veteran in the kpop and Krap/Kr&b industry and will make these boys go far. I am very exited for what they bring next and the sounds they will go for, especially the production.

Ryul actually started on the rap route and he participated in one of the recent rap shows (Rap:Republic). So he seems not only super talented but very genuine about rapping which I think one can immediately clock in his verses as well. Not only is it so pleasant for the ears to have another idol rapper who can actually be versatile and genuine in his verses but also means they are solid on that front as well! Triple threat group (edit: Woojin seems promising in rap as well. Also it is not like rapping is the most important thing to me in a group; what makes them so interesting for me is first and foremost their attitude and approach as well as the singing and dancing but I just wanted to throw it out there :))

I expected this from them after listening to their mixtape, but when I first heard Saucin' I was a bit disappointed because I know they’re capable of much more vocally. That said, after listening to the EP, I’m honestly obsessed. The fact that Ryul (my favorite)—who’s mainly a rapper and was recruited through SMTM—can sing so well, and is even said to hit the highest notes in the group, is incredible. You can really feel their hunger and drive. As for Jay Park, refusing to listen to them just because he’s the CEO is honestly silly—you’d have to stop listening to most artists. Regardless of opinions, he genuinely loves music, supports his artists, and gives them exposure. The hate they received (especially the photo) clearly affected them, but Jay apologized and reminded them not to listen to comments attacking their looks. It’s obvious he wants to do things right with them, and from what I’ve seen with MoreVision, there are also plans for a girl group debut. I’m really looking forward to seeing more from them.

literally my only complaint about them is their choreographyyyyy like its too many filler moves or just gestures and then they keep the same three formations in rotation throughout the entire songggg but this is most likely my bias because im a dancer but like xlov has shown there is so much you can do with 4 people. I just wish their choreographers would lock in a little more.

i decided to actually wait for your reaction before i tapped into them and im glad i did! wow im in shock…. i was pretty scared, but im pleasantly surprised at how good these songs are. theres something unique(for lack of a better word) in them that im really loving. if its one thing about jay park hes gonna get you dancing no matter what you think about him omg. kind of happy about the direction they took with their music here, very refreshing. the raps are hit or miss for me, but that one kid has an amazing voice i need to hear more from him wwooowww. i completely agree with what you said about adp and cortis compared to them! the music is very much adjacent but i hope it gets to a point where they put their own spin on it and lngshot is very much how i expect that to sound like. very much inspired by us but have their own color if you understand what im saying. this comment is all over the place but i was commenting as i watch sorry <3

I love them! Been keeping an eye out for their debut since Jay leaked a snippet of Louis singing on a podcast with Mingi from ATEEZ (bibimpop ep 14) last year haha. I love how there doesn’t seem to be a single “filler” member. They all have a clear role in the group and sound great together. Their group chemistry is also pretty endearing from what we’ve seen so far. My favourites of theirs are: Trust Myself (Ryul) and Next 2 You (Ohyul & Louis) from their predebut mixtape “4ShoBoiz” and Moonwalking and Never Let You Go from “Shot Callers”. I 1000% agree with you. Bring back yearning in kpop boygroups 😭 As far as a fandom name, i dont think we have one yet but I really like “MoonWLKRS”. Jay Park’s fandom name is JWalkerz and I’ve always loved how witty it is but also just how cool it sounds as a fandom name. Moonwalkers isn’t as witty but it has a nice ring to it imo. I’ve also seen people suggest Snipers (which i personally find a bit too agressive) and Makit (from “It’s a Long Shot, but we’ll ensure they Make it”)

I hear it myself now but everyone is saying Louis sounds like a young Justin Bieber and Ohyul sounds like adult Justin Bieber. I feel like their voices sounding similar to JB is giving a lot of people who grew up listening to JB an unconscious bias towards the group (myself included😂). Ohyul’s Boyfriend cover on Hello82 Highlighted the similarity. Woojin has a beautiful voice as well and I love how clear and strong Ryul’s rapping is. I’m looking to see more of their personalities as well.

Jesus, i liked the stuff i had seen when they appeared in jay parks performance and i was pretty sure i'd like them..... but oh my god...... facetime was good but Never Let Go was absolute fucking perfection...... brought me right back to like highschool lol and i know you mentioned B2K but i was also hearing a group that as they mature could sound like 112/jagged edge/ dru hill or even blackstreet... So glad i watched this finally, i added them to my main playlist immediately lol
