Great vocals and song choices (besides exotic)! I'm very happy for them, I hope this does amazingly well so Wakeone keeps them mature and fab.

Customize was composed and arranged by Gunwook (along with his producer friend who also helped him with his self-produced birthday song Day After Day), and he also contributed to lyrics! He really took initiative to get it included in the album and didn’t even bring it up to Wakeone until it was entirely finished. The members had a lot more creative freedom with this album in general. They unanimously selected the title track and apparently were the ones who decided to keep the name Zerobaseone in order to maintain the connection with Zeroses. I’m really hopeful for their future musical direction based on this album. Also, if you haven’t already checked it out, I’d recommend watching their cover of SHINee’s Sherlock and their performance of Customize from KCON Japan.

not sure if it’s just me but matthew’s little bridge/rap part on zero to hundred sounds a lot like good so bad. i’m sure it was intentional as they do a callback to iconik in the title track

They just needed to push changes more into that sultry realm than this blues sort of in between… they really gaslit us w jiwoong’s intro💔 the end of the 1st chorus you thought was jiwoong was taerae I think. Then gunwook and jiwoong w the verse right after. Zero to hundred is growing on me w each listen let me not lie. Im going from not minding it to really liking it for the vocals. Every song has something to offer whether it’s vocals or production or whatever ugh I’m so jebeful today🥹 Ugh even though there are things that could’ve done more for me personally I overall just love love LOVE the album with how drastic the improvement in their skills and the music has been. When I think about how much they’ve expressed their fears of being accepted as 5 with a concept and sound change I’m just so incredibly fucking proud I could cry. especially w hanbin crying on live after KCON Japan about that being their 1st stage as 5… they actually had fucking nothing to worry about and I hope they understand that from either album reception or stages or charts whatever it is.

Changes started out sounding like untitled/how does it feel and ended up sounding like an nsync Christmas song, I can’t remember which one😂 As sad as I am about the split it is really nice for members to get to shine more and the concept rebrand is so much better than I expected. Gunwook’s voice took me the longest to learn, I only really got it like an album or two ago. It’s a very straightforward tone, almost boyish. It helps that the other four members have really distinctive voices though so it probably won’t take you long to be able to pick out his.

I do miss Hao and Ricky’s voices a lil, but wow these 5 killed it. Very excited for their future!! I hope they stay in this kind of lane

I think splitting up was a good decision. I had already given up on zb9 but when i saw this comeback, i said lemme see what zb5 have, and they did deliver.

The members mentioned having increased vocal lessons during this period of rebranding and you can REALLY feel it. ZB1 has always had some strong vocals, but they're finally letting them SING. Hanbin's vocal tone and range really shown BRIGHT. It's crazy to think he didn't believe in his vocals when they first debuted. And Gunwook producing Customize!!! He has grown so much ugh I'm so proud. I will always miss my 9, but it's great to hear more from each member! Excited for the And2ble debut as well, especially since Ricky, Hao, and Gyuvin all participated in lyric writing for their (re)debut!!!

When I heard their solo projects for their birthdays and such I always was shocked at how skilled they are as singers. Taerae and Hanbin we know are very trained. But Matthew, jiwoong and gunwook always seemed to just get one small part on a song to shine on. Now all 5 have to work for the paycheck. When I saw them do the sherlock shinee cover in Japan kcon I knew they were ready. I wish they had fully rebanded and just gone with zerobasefive. I can't wait to see what andouble got in store. They seem to be continuing the jellypop tradition.

Exotic being my favorite lmaoooo but god this album gave me everything I’ve been wanting from ZB1. no shade to the old songs at all it’s just they finally sound like they have an identifiable SOUND and they sounded amazing. I think we got to hear even more of what each person can do even Taerae who has so much more range than just singing a high note. the one I was prob most impressed by was Matthew tho. I’ve always loved his tone & what he brings to zb1 songs but in changes he was SIIIINGIIIING!!
