Ohhh my Iznettes.

They can't compete with their contemporaries if they keep this up.

Their music desperately needs an identity and some risks. VVN is soo uninspired in her production. My god her and Teddy deserve each other.

I don't really know what else to say really.

Enjoy

I hate getting to that point with a group where I lose hope and accept that they’re probably never going to fulfill their potential. Such a damn shame.

genuinely feel as though tbl agreed to the iland2 collab before meow debut for cash/hype cause their disregard for giving izna something truly unique and striking to them is soooo blatant. just use one or 2 out of house producers or just something actually different like nothing they have done for them has been new or shocking. if you're going to stick to something at least go all out and make it as good as can be like timebomb and supercrush and now rock paper scissors are the only songs in over a year since their debut that have really hit and none of them are even out there/shocking like that they just decided to put that bit more effort into these than every other song. that said i do think the album overall is cohesive i just think infinity and lean on me are so fucking boring everyone can say whatever they fucking want on twitter but they just are. yeah the girls sound good and whatever jeemin and sarang wrote lyrics but who gives a fuck when overall its not hitting like that and you lot gassing it up will stop listening in less than month. rip and metronome i like more than i thought they would but still both could've been better. rock paper scissors is the one song i genuinely like 10/10 no notes like it is fun and although nit crazy unique its fun enough and done well enough from the intro verses chorus to outro that i dont care it better fucking get promoted after RIP or so fucking help me i'll lose my mind.

Lol seeing you rolling your eyes back is f* hilarious. Anyway, your preference towards izna's music is surprisingly similar to Fifi's (you may know her from Fifi Zappa channel). I agree that VVN is most of the time playing very safe. She has her own producing style, from Cignature "Girls" to Jisoo "Flower", and it's kinda annoying that she hardly strays away from it. She's a good producer but at this point it's hard for her to become a hit-maker.

The album felt flat and, honestly, pretty underwhelming overall. And at this point, it’s not even surprising anymore. They’ve been delivering weak material for a while now. Their first album was okay at best, and now we’re already at their third mini, and it somehow feels even sadder. After two years, you’d expect growth, direction, or at least some kind of artistic identity, but instead it feels like they’re slipping further away from what could’ve made them stand out. The songs clearly could be great, but they never reach that point. Infinity, especially, has beautiful lyrics, yet the production feels dull and stuck in the past, rather than sounding fresh or forward‑thinking for 2026. It pains me that VVN can't step outside the box, LIKE PLEASE. What I'll say is that the title track is their best so far, but even then, it’s missing that final push, as you said, we were finally getting somewhere with the end. More ad‑libs, a fuller outro, and stronger dynamics would’ve made it feel complete. But honestly, that’s the pattern with all their title tracks; they always stop right before they become great. I agree with you that it also feels like they’re still trying to recreate iwaly, even though that moment was two years ago. They need to let that go. I really need wk1 to end things with TBL, or VVN needs to wake up. I’m not excited for their next comeback if this is the path they’re sticking to. IZNA is so versatile and has tried different sounds, but they still don’t have a solid concept or brand. I felt like with their debut trailer and their first album, we were getting somewhere, but I don't know. They really need that. One thing I’ve noticed is that VVN focuses so much on making Izna look alive in performances that the songs end up feeling empty. Like with RIP, the track itself didn’t hit, but the choreography made it feel better. She needs to stop relying on that and start choosing music that stands on its own. Overall, free my girls. This is getting ridiculous, honestly. What makes me mad is that we fans waited 8 months for this. They also need a budget. No shade, everything feels like $5 and a dream, atp, there's no dream, ugh, I'm PISSED. Sorry for the long paragraphs lol.

As a big izna fan, I am always very scared to listen to your opinions about their music because they are always so on point and so true lol and I want this to work out for them so much. But it’s just not sticking. I loved the album, but I recognize that something is still missing and you always say it beautiful and that’s why i respect your opinion so much. I truly hate both TBL and wakeone, so with all the pain in my heart, I just don’t know how this can work out for them💔

MITNITE98

The reason why I support and still have hope in izna is that their potential and growth is always fascinating to see, as well as the combination of two different styles of two companies still has room for a miracle. izna now gives me the feeling of NMIXX in their early years, but the big and key difference is that NMIXX and JYPE dared to try until they find the right formula for their music. WakeOne and TBL on the other hand still can't figure out among themselves how to work around with the talents they're having. And they now decided to play safer, to satisfy fan's demand of "dreamy, hazy, wistful" sound and concept, thus this EP. It can be boring, but I would say its cohesion is the best among the 3 EPs so far.

MITNITE98

It's not VVN who decided izna's direction, I believe. It's more WakeOne who wants to shift izna towards performance to further highlight their dancing skills, especially after Ji-yoon's departure. So now VVN receives that kind of "order", she will produce songs that leave more space for choreo, not to mention she likes empty, instrument-heavy chorus with vocal chops.

MITNITE98

I don't know if this is the right interpretation, butthe reason for not having an explosive outro can be that they want to keep the "metronome" concept consistent. A stable tempo, maybe? I don't know, sounds silly but having a belt-out note also doesn't sit that right with me. They should add something more, of course.

Koko3op

Same!! it's just not gonna happen. They're where itzy is now but without the success

Koko3op

oivdhdoihadoih this feels random? but i hear it

Koko3op

Allll of this!! It's really a shame man

Koko3op

Yess she's soooooo safe

I get what you mean about w1 pushing izna toward more performance‑focused music, especially after Ji‑yoon left, but I still stand by what I said. VVN is their creative director and their main producer, so her choices still shape how the songs turn out. I love that they highlight the girls’ dancing and make performance a big part of their identity, but I was talking more about the b‑sides. Those tracks shouldn’t feel empty just to leave room for choreography. They deserve fuller production and stronger musical direction, too.

Koko3op

Aww thank you!! Yeah they really are being wasted !

Koko3op

Then change the name of the song ofhduidfhs like that could be it but it's a boring concept then

MITNITE98

VVN has never been their creative director, wdym? It's their creative director from WakeOne, together with their executive producer Teddy, who will decide izna's overall orientation. VVN is the producer who works directly with the girls and produce songs to fit the requirements from the higher-up. Other than that, I agree with you. But then, as I said, she's a good producer not an extra-ordinary one. She could make a small hit like "Sign", co-produced a hit like "Suddenly", but don't expect her to excel in every other songs.

Kay

I never skip izna performances because their synchronization and stage presence are mesmerizing. I just hope they get the songs they deserve, because this group has way too much potential to be wasted.

"I know what's gonna happen" - that really made me laugh for some reason ☺️ always so interesting hearing your take
