NEW EPISODE IS UP!!

I finally sat down and looked into the Mnet voting manipulation scandal properly and... WOOOOW. This was JUICY!

I knew it was bad, but I genuinely wasn't prepared for just how dark it felt. The deeper is a ride. If you've only ever heard bits and pieces about Produce, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I also talk about TREASURE's Junkyu announcing a hiatus, Mark doubling down, Sophia's recent comments about Manon and why Jessica singing her old duet has me delusionally hoping for an OT9 reunion next year looool.

Would love for you to watch PDX101, Micah! Just to figure out who you think was rigged in. With PD48 is was low-key shared who was rigged in, while for X1, the editing really worked with who got in the group, so it takes an extra step. Also, they have pretty great/ top tier creation songs that still trend here and there, and still amazing vocalists were on the show, especially with Woodz and Han Seungwoo I have my theories on who was rigged in bc I definitely feel like I know who was rigged out. (looking at you, starship and mbk) Though Mnet and all the higher-ups were fucked for the rigging and truly ruining lives… my toxic trait is that they rigged damn great groups.…like X1 debut showcase was at Gocheok Sky Dome and sold out in minutes with over 20k tickets (there are literal top groups that still haven't been able to perform at this arena). X1 also sold over 500k albums with was a complete insane number in 2019 Also minhee and Hyeongjun are in cravity, Yohan acts more than anything K-pop related, Junho is in Drppin but they are basically disbanded, and the rest are all soloists. Woodz is by far the most famous

its super interesting to view boys planet through the lens of the produce voting scandals. mnet producers still found ways to manipulate the results, but had to be (mostly) sneakier about it through judging and vote weighting and editing decisions. and even still, a foreigner from china won po1 for the first time in produce series history! shout out zhang hao
