I couldn't even finish some of the songs.

I don't know if they'll now be typecast into this particular sound just like TWS cos they do it well but also it doesn't really have replay value tbh cos there aren't any stand out vocal moments.

Production can also bring replay value but this is kpop not the rave scene iufdhsh i need something to sing to. 404 had the lowered larynx catchy deep vocals.

Here? not much and that's a shame cos I love them. Hopefully once they leave the parties for a min i'll get more songs i love.

I loooooved this album but knowing your taste I can see why it wasn’t for you!! They weren’t really on my radar before (even after 404). Visually I thought it was pretty fun too.

Yeah, they're my favorite group of fifth gen but I suspected already based on the highlight medley that this would be their first whiff for me. The 2010s thing they nod towards is music and a time I just have zero nostalgia or affection for so that was gonna be an uphill battle right from the jump, and whenever they veer back into the housey thing again I just feel like, I dunno, we're done with that. Hell, even 404 at the time when it came out felt for me like it was late to that party and it was already wearing kind of thin, and now we're the better part of a year out from even that. With a song that disproportionately successful compared to anything else they've done, following it up was always gonna be a whole thing and I'll give them credit in that this isn't literally just aping 404 all over again in terms of sound, but the shadow of that song still hangs over this in the sense that they obviously just went all-out on the more brash party vibe and there's a weird sense of monotony over the whole thing.

This album is really amazing to me when I first heard sweet sour I remember being solo captivated by it but overall I do also wish the songs were longer had bridges or a longer outro because yea it feels sooo anticlimactic and just builds up for nothing... Let's see how they do the next comeback tho
