This was super safe and mow I've learnt this was supposed to come out BEFORE Set Me Free and Moonlight Sunrise it makes sense, this isn't the most exciting follow up.

I must say I don't really remember much from the songs but as it's a mini I feel like that's on brand.

I'm looking forward to revisiting their discography though.

Enjoy!

Would be interesting to follow along with you on their discography as I have also never deep dived into Twice B-sides

Myah Gibson

Chaeyoung wrote Rush, Jeongyeon wrote Bloom and Dahyun wrote You Get Me.

tbh I enjoyed this ep simply bc it's still different from what they've previously released. They have such an expansive discography that I don't really mind them releasing a safe album that's easy on the ears for once, but again I would agree it's not one of their stand out releases. can't wait for you to check out their earlier stuff!

i absolutely love Twice!! but i feel like we needed a little bit of an SM vibe on some of the songs (meaning something a little more daring) so that they could POP more, with it being there 13th mini album. Just something a little different I KNOW THEY CAN. Love your videoss ;)

This was my first proper twice comeback, and again just like with exos exist album, I moreso enjoyed the experience of the comeback schedule rather than the music itself. Coincidentally both groups had killing voices as part of those schedules which definitely helped make a positive impact. Again you're right about this album, it plays it safe, on repeated listens theres no song that truly stands out to me, maybe bloom? I actually really liked I got you, but one spark was just really bland to me. It doesn't really have anything special about it compared to every other twice title track. I don't even think it's necessarily a bad song, just a little boring. They've released so much music though that I'm not really all that fussed at an album that plays it safe.

Truee! Yeah overall they didn't seem to try a lot with this album cos this was before their contract renewal right?

I'm not sure, I think I read they planned to release an album called 'our youth' right after their renewal but we got the set me free album instead. Idk if they delayed it and changed it to 'with youth' instead. Either way, this was a surprise album released towards the back end of their 5th tour, so I'd assume a lot of it was prepared while they had a packed world tour schedule, could be the reason it's a little underwhelming, maybe due to fatigue.
