Alright, got some friends together last week and yapped for two hours about Disney Channel cartoons. Had my mic this time so the audio actually sounds worth a damn lol

Thanks for all the support, everybody! Working on four videos and the title sequence to my cartoon at the same time right now. It's a lot but y'all make it worth it. Hope y'all enjoy.

One.

I have a distinct memory of going to a furniture rental store with family a few years ago and them having a muted episode of Big City Greens playing on the display TV. Despite there being no audio, I could 100% tell what was going on in the story. I dunno what that says about Big City Greens but it's currently my one and only exposure to it.

Neat, oh and remember when I said Cleveland Show and Pepper Ann shared writers that one time? I actually meant to say American Dad and PA share a lot of writers. You can actually kind of hear it in the way they bring up celebrities and pop culture a lot (and maybe some commentary on certain topics but idk).

Chris C.

Damn it now I want to see the Pepper Ann theme but instead it's just Stan Smith going to his job and being late.

TheNadDad

Young Love was a cozy black Cartoon imo

Pigpen

Can’t wait for the “Discovery Kids/The Hub” cartoons tier list that will never happen because the entire video would just be, “huh?”, “Idk what that is.” And “Who the fuck is Kenny the Shark?”

Thomas Caston

I can hear Tariq saying “Dan vs. was on this shit?”

toonrifictariq

i used to love kenny the shark, don’t do that lmfao

Chris C.

what about Time Warp Trio? that was the REAL shit.

Chris C.

A TV-Y7 edutainment cartoon animated by the same studio that did Home Movies and WordGirl and the writers of Arthur. THE WRITERS OF FUCKING ARTHUR ARE YOU SERIOUS

Medamood

Aye run that Amphibia back for me rq ☠️

villa

bold take of mine but mccracken's peak really was Wander Over Yonder. i'm super biased because it took place in some very formative years as a kid who was aspiring to make a cartoon.

villa

also is "The Replacements" not on the list? that's surprising lol

Anthony Estrada

If you take what's going on in the world right now with evil dictators and use that as the followup to the haileys on it cliffhanger, it actually feels like a perfect continuation.

Nathaniel Foga

There were certainly some fascinatingly spicy takes here

Tatyana Johnson

I watched 'Hailey's on It' because I'm one of those people who has to see it through. Especially when it comes to animation I have to see a show die... it's probably torture! 🤷🏿‍♀️

Perseus Toons

Overall, I'd say that's indicative of good visual storytelling, but I dunno

Nompy the Land-Shark

"That sounds like the start of a Regular Show episode" is wild

WantedMinion

Damn Cricket pissed the dog off 🤣

Nompy the Land-Shark

but not as wild as telling a kid they dress like THE "PLAYER 2" VERSION OF THEMSELF i'm gonna cry 😭😭😭😭

Earlblu

streets will be there for Hanna-Barbera tier list

JakeLT

I definitely wouldn’t have watched Kiff under normal circumstances, but my daughters LOVES it, and the more I see of it the more I get its appeal. I agree with the criticisms here, especially regarding pacing, but it’s the closest thing out right now to a cartoon from our era. There isn’t a story or even really a premise, just a little fleshed out world that exists to be a vehicle to tell whatever story they want for 11 minutes, and it’s good at what it does.

JustAndrea

Okay, I love BCGs, but that rant was HILARIOUS, asdfghjkl. I also can't say they're wrong for calling BCGs formulaic, but thats what makes it such a comfort show to me - i know no matter what, it's gonna make me smile and chuckle at least a little (also Bill Green is babygirl)

JustAndrea

Really happy to see WoY in Great tier, that show means so much to me. Would love to see you do a video on it
