Chapter 2: Movie Night
Josh didn't actually go to bed.
Instead, he stood in the guest room for a moment, that petty plan still churning in his mind, then made his way to the kitchen.
The fridge was well-stocked - Alice's parents had left her with plenty of grocery money, and she'd clearly taken advantage. There was the leftover pizza from earlier, some frozen meals, vegetables that would probably go bad before anyone touched them, and various snacks and drinks.
Not enough for what he was imagining.
Josh pulled out his phone and opened the food delivery app. Alice's favorite pizza place. Her favorite burger joint. That dessert place she always talked about wanting to try but was too busy gaming to go there herself. And somehow it never occurred to her to just order delivery.
Her parents are paying for everything. She said so herself.
He built an order. Large pizza - her favorite toppings. Burgers and fries. Loaded nachos. That dessert sampler she'd been eyeing. Some fancy milkshakes. The total climbed higher and higher.
This is insane. This is way too much food for two people.
But his finger hovered over the confirm button anyway.
He thought about her sitting on his lap. About his guild hearing her voice and knowing he was that guy - the one who couldn't focus because his hot girlfriend was teasing him. About the way she'd squeezed his love handles like it was nothing, like his body was just something fun to play with.
About the way she always looked so effortlessly perfect while he felt like he was constantly playing catch-up.
Just this once. Just to see.
He confirmed the order. Delivery in 45 minutes.
Then he grabbed a bottle of the nice craft beer he'd spotted in the fridge - looked like something Alice's dad had left behind - and headed back upstairs.
For just a second, standing outside the gaming room, he hesitated.
This is stupid. This is petty and stupid and…
But then he heard Alice's voice through the door, laughing at something in her game, sounding completely carefree and confident, and he pushed the thought away.
He opened the door. "Hey."
Alice glanced over, still focused on her match. "Back already? Couldn't sleep without me?" She grinned at her own joke.
"I was thinking," Josh said, trying to sound casual. "Want to do an anime marathon? Downstairs, on the couch? We could finally watch one of those series you've been talking about."
Alice's fingers didn't stop moving across her keyboard, but her interest was clearly piqued. "One with the isekai premise and the overpowered protagonist?"
"If you want to?"
"Hell yeah!" She executed an impressive combo kill then clearly began to rush towards the enemy base. "Let me just finish this match."
"I ordered some food too. Should be here soon."
"Oh?" Alice spun in her chair to face him, eyebrows raised. "What kind of food?"
"Nothing too special. You know. Pizza, burgers, snacks. Figured if we're doing a marathon we should do it right."
"Damn, okay! I like this plan!" She stood, stretching. "I'm so down. Give me like five minutes to finish this match and I'll meet you down there."
Josh headed downstairs, setting up the living room. He pulled up the anime on the big TV, queued up the first episode, and grabbed some beers from the fridge. The delivery notification pinged - food would arrive in twenty minutes.
Right on cue, Alice came down the stairs, still in that full outfit. The leather skirt swished with each step, the jacket hanging open and framing her chest. Pigtails bouncing, faking innocence. Part of him assumed she would change into something more comfortable by now.
"You're going to wear that?" he asked before he could stop himself.
"Why not? I love this fit." Alice cocked her hip. "Plus I look hot in it. You're not complaining, are you?"
Of course not!
Josh shook his head eagerly.
"Good boy." She said it absentmindedly, settling down next to him, but it still made his face heat.
Three years. Three years and I still can't believe she's real.
They settled in, hitting play. The anime's opening theme started - upbeat J-pop with flashy animation. Alice was immediately absorbed, praising the art style and character designs.
The doorbell rang. Josh got up to grab the delivery, and when he returned with multiple bags of food, Alice's eyes widened.
"Holy shit, how much did you order?"
"Enough." Josh started unpacking - pizza box, burger containers, the massive nacho platter, milkshakes, and the dessert sampler in its fancy packaging.
"This is like... a lot of food." But Alice was already reaching for the pizza, pulling out a slice. He could see her drooling slightly. "Not that I'm complaining. You know me - I can eat."
That's what I'm counting on.
"Dig in," Josh said, grabbing a burger for himself.
They ate and watched. The anime was good - exactly the kind of entertaining isekai trash they both loved, with overpowered protagonists and increasingly ridiculous plot developments. They commented through mouthfuls of food, laughing at the absurd moments.
Alice finished two slices of pizza, then grabbed a burger. "Oh my god, this is so good. Where'd you order from?"
"That place you like downtown."
She took another huge bite. "Damn, fancy. Your treat?"
"Your parents' grocery budget's treat."
"Even better!" Alice laughed, completely unselfconscious about the way she was eating - enthusiastically, quickly, without any of the feminine restraint you’d expect of a hot girl like her. She finished the burger and grabbed more pizza.
Josh watched her eat while pretending to focus on the show. There was something compelling about it - the lack of self-consciousness, the genuine enjoyment, the way she just went for it without worrying about how it looked.
She eats like someone who's never had to worry about consequences.
They started on the second beers. Then third. The alcohol was good - stronger than the cheap stuff they usually drank - and it went down easy while watching anime.
Alice was getting tipsy. Josh could tell by the way she got louder, more animated, laughing harder at the jokes. She'd sprawled across the couch, her legs tucked up, leather skirt riding up slightly on her thighs.
"Pass me the nachos," she said during the third episode and stifled a hiccup.
Josh handed over the massive platter. Alice dug in, cheese stretching between chips and her mouth. Some of it got on her fingers and she licked them clean without thinking about it.
"These are so good," she mumbled around a mouthful. "Why don't we order food like this more often?"
"Because it's expensive?"
"Right. But we're living that rich kid's life for a month!" She giggled, clearly drunk now. "Might as well enjoy it."
They were four episodes in when Alice cracked open the dessert sampler. Fancy stuff - little cheesecakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, some kind of elaborate tiramisu.
"Oh my god," Alice moaned around a bite of cheesecake. "This is incredible. Here, try this."
She held out a spoon toward Josh, and he took a bite. It was good, but he was more focused on the way Alice immediately went back for more, trying each dessert with genuine enthusiasm.
"I love food," she declared, slightly slurred. "Food is so good. Why is food so good?"
"Because you’re drunk?"
"Then being drunk and full must be the secret key to happiness." She grinned at him, chocolate on the corner of her mouth. "This is fun. Great idea, Josh."
They kept watching. More episodes. More drinking. Alice finished most of the desserts, then went back to the leftover pizza. She was eating like someone at a competition. Not frantically, but consistently, constantly reaching for more.
They were on episode nine when Alice shifted, sitting up slightly and putting a hand on her stomach.
"Okay, I think I'm actually done," she said, laughing a little. "I'm so full. Like, actually stuffed."
Josh looked at the coffee table. There were still two slices of pizza left, and he'd grabbed some wings that hadn't been touched yet.
Just a little more. Keep it going.
"Come on, you can't leave pizza unfinished," Josh said, keeping his tone light. "That's like, against the rules."
"Josh, I'm really full." But she was smiling, tipsy and relaxed. "I ate so much."
"How about this-" He grabbed a slice, holding it up. "I'll feed you. Make it romantic."
Alice blinked at him, then burst out laughing. "What? What exactly is romantic about feeding another person? I’d be more like a couch-bound potato if anything! Ahahaha."
"Come on. It's like that anime you showed me. The one where the guy feeds the girl and it's all cute and romantic?"
"Sweetness and Lightning?" Alice's eyes lit up with drunken recognition. "Oh my god, you're right! That's such a good show!" She shifted closer, getting into it. "Okay, okay. Do it. Feed me like in anime."
This is working. She's so drunk she thinks this is cute!
Josh held up the slice to her mouth. Alice took a bite, cheese stretching, and giggled through the mouthful.
"This is ridiculous," she said, but she took another bite when he offered it. "We're so stupid right now."
Josh only smiled and held up another as he watched her chew methodically. Her hands going in circles over the skirt. The belly. He noticed only now how that skirt was being pushed up. Clean case of food pregnancy. The fancy leather skirt that used to swish around effortlessly now had to make concessions in order to keep the belly covered.
So it begins.
"Last slice. Can't waste it."
Alice opened her mouth obediently, letting him feed her bite by bite. Sauce got on her chin. She tried to wipe it with her hand but just smeared it more.
"Oops." She giggled, looking at her sauce-covered fingers, then - without thinking - wiped them on her leather jacket that was bunched up beside her on the couch.
Josh watched the orange-red stain spread across the black leather.
She doesn't even notice. She just wiped pizza sauce on a designer jacket like it's a napkin.
"Alright, now I'm really done," Alice said, slumping back. But her eyes landed on the wings. "Wait, are those wings? When did you get wings?"
"They came with the burgers."
"I love wings." She reached for one, then paused. "No, I'm too full. I can't."
"Just try one. These are supposed to be really good."
Alice wavered, drunk and susceptible to suggestion. "Just one."
She grabbed a wing and bit in, sauce getting on her face immediately - on her cheek, on her chin. She chewed, hummed appreciatively, then grabbed another.
"These are really good," she mumbled around a mouthful.
Josh handed her another beer - the craft stuff was gone, but he'd grabbed some of the bubbly cheap beer from the fridge, stuff they usually drank. Alice gulped it down quickly between wings, clearly trying to wash down the food.
"Okay - urp - oh." Alice's hand flew to her mouth, eyes widening in surprise. Then she started giggling. "Oh my god, excuse me."
Josh stared at her. His incredibly hot girlfriend - in her leather skirt and tank top, pigtails still mostly intact, makeup smudged - had just belched. Loud and unrestrained.
That's... that's not what girls who look like her are supposed to do.
But Alice just kept laughing, completely unbothered. "That beer is so bubbly. Why'd you give me bubbly beer?"
"You're the one who grabbed it."
"Fair point." She picked up another wing, eating messily now. Sauce covered her fingers, her chin, smeared across one cheek. "God, these are good though."
She finished three more wings, drinking more beer between each one, and Josh watched her gradually become more and more of a mess.
Her black tank top had multiple stains now - pizza sauce, burger grease, something that looked like chocolate from the desserts. The neat tuck into her skirt had come completely undone, the fabric riding up slightly over her stomach.
Her stomach, which was visibly distended now. Not huge, but noticeably rounded, pushing out against the tank top in a way that definitely wasn't there at the start of the night.
Alice leaned back, one hand on her belly, and let out another belch - longer this time, deeper.
"Oh god-" She giggled again, patting her stomach. "Okay, that felt so weird. I'm like… I'm so full. I feel like I'm gonna explode."
Her pigtails were falling apart now, ribbons loose, blonde and pink strands escaping everywhere. Her makeup was smudged beyond repair - mascara slightly smeared, lipstick gone and replaced by the various sauces from tonight’s feast. Wing sauce decorated her cheek like war paint.
One thigh-high was still on. The other was sliding down, bunched around her knee.
Her leather jacket laid forgotten on the floor now, covered in pizza sauce and some cheese that got there who knows how.
She looks like a disaster. A complete disaster.
And it was bizarre because she was still visually gorgeous - beautiful face, perfect proportions, that outfit that had looked so put-together earlier - but now she was burping, covered in food stains, and not caring at all.
The contrast was almost surreal.
"I need more soda," Alice declared, struggling to sit up. Her stomach gurgled audibly. "Urrrp - oh that's better."
Josh grabbed one of the sodas he'd ordered - super fizzy, the kind that was basically carbonation with flavor added.
"Here."
Alice drank half of it in one go, then immediately her eyes widened.
“URRRP."
The belch was massive, echoing slightly in the living room. Alice burst into hysterical laughter.
“Okay, maybe that was a bad call, ahahah!
"Did you hear that?! That was like - that was like a cannonball!" She was doubled over laughing, holding her distended stomach.
Josh couldn't help but laugh too, even as part of his brain was screaming what have you done?
"You're going to feel terrible tomorrow."
"Future Alice's problem!" She grabbed another wing, somehow still eating despite clearly being past full. "Present Alice wants more wings."
She was eating slower now, taking breaks between bites, her body clearly protesting. But she kept going, working through the remaining wings with determined enthusiasm.
"Josh," she said after finishing another one, "I think - urp - I think I ate too much."
"You don’t say, reborn Socrates."
"I know." She patted her belly again, and even through her drunkenness she seemed to register how round it had gotten. "Wow. I'm so bloated. Feel this."
Before Josh could respond, she grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach. It was tight, firm, distended like a balloon.
"That's so much food," Alice said, giggling. "That's crazy. How did I eat that much? That’s crazy!"
Because I kept encouraging you. Because I kept handing you more. Because you were drunk enough to just keep going.
Alice shifted position, trying to get comfortable, and a sound emerged that made both of them freeze.
A long, unmistakable fart.
Alice's eyes went wide. Then she started laughing so hard she nearly fell off the couch.
"Oh my god! Did that just- I can't believe-" She was wheezing with laughter, tears streaming down her face, smearing her already-ruined makeup further. "I'm so gross right now!"
Josh didn't know whether to laugh or be horrified. His girlfriend - who'd started the evening looking like she'd stepped out of an anime, all leather and thigh-highs and perfect styling - was now covered in food stains, burping and farting, makeup destroyed, hair falling out of its pigtails, and laughing about it.
This is what happens when she's not perfect. This is what she looks like without the control.
And it was working. She already looked more down to earth.
Less perfect.
Alice finished the last wing, licking her fingers clean and getting even more sauce on her face in the process. She tried to wipe it off with the bottom of her tank top, which just lifted the fabric enough to show her distended stomach in all its bloated glory. It sat there, heavy and round, strained against the waistband of her skirt. A taut, full curve where it used to be always flat. Her belly button was exposed on the top. The sole focal point of the pale dome, rising and falling with her breath. She looked thoroughly, completely stuffed. Like someone had inflated her from the inside.
"I'm gonna - urrrp - I'm gonna regret this tomorrow," she said, still giggling. "But right now? Right now I don't care. This was fun."
She tried to stand up, wobbled, and Josh had to steady her.
"Okay, bedtime," he said. "You're done."
"I'm sooooo done." Alice leaned heavily against him, one hand still on her belly. "Carry me?"
"You can walk."
"But I'm full and drunk and my feet don't work." She looked up at him with exaggerated puppy eyes, sauce still smeared on her cheek.
Josh helped her up the stairs, Alice giggling and stumbling the whole way. She left her remaining thigh-high on the stairs somewhere. Her leather jacket was still on the living room floor, covered in stains.
At her bedroom door, Alice turned and gave him a sloppy, sauce-flavored kiss.
"Thanks for the food night," she mumbled. "Best idea ever."
Then she stumbled into her room and immediately flopped onto her bed, not even bothering to change out of her stained, disheveled outfit.
Josh stood in the hallway for a moment, looking at the disaster trail they'd left - food containers everywhere, her jacket on the floor, one thigh-high on the stairs, sauce and crumbs tracked around.
And he felt...
Satisfied.
That's what she looks like without the perfect image. That's what happens when she lets go completely.
And weirdly, part of him wanted to see more of it.
Not the sloppy drunk part necessarily, but the... softer part. Both in behavior and around the waist.
Tomorrow I'll order breakfast. Keep it going.
Josh headed to the guest room, but sleep didn't come easy.
He kept thinking about Alice - messy, bloated, burping, covered in food stains - and how much less intimidating she'd seemed like that.
Just for a few more days. Just to see what happens.
What's the worst that could happen?
