i feel like in this case they r choosing each other. one with a first love who got to be WITH his first love and one who got to be with the second option who was truly the love of his life. they will probably realize it in the next chapter but both do have points however i think nathan is a more suitable one not bc i hate thomas but bc he is truly the one he’s crazy about and thomas can just give him what he wants. there is no actual feelings for thomas and thomas just wants to get the boy and piss off arian. he doesn’t truly love him but even so THEY R KIDS! let them be kids and come back to this topic like highschool later than bc elementary is just being a kid and kids should be allowed to be kids and not involve romance yet just all get alone and be friends :p
