idc what anyone says, it's absolutely INSANE that there is 0 mention of cordy at all in this episode. one of the most beloved characters that's been here since day 1 of the buffyverse. it's an absolute disgrace that they shrug off her death like this. (and then also have the nerve to dress spike in a nazi uniform like?? 😵‍💫)

The only episode in the back half of this season that isn’t an absolute banger. It’s not very good. Only great stuff from here on out though IMO

I’m sorry but this episode is boring af to me (Numero Cinco just beats it due to the El Diablo Robotico line which I just love so much). Agree with Ray D - the rest of the season is awesome.

This is a very good episode. One of the better fillers What makes it less than the rest is the placement. It just doesn't fit here.

I don't get the hate for this episode. Saying it's boring (like someone commented) is crazy. The pacing works, the actors are really good, the themes explored are interesting and we feel for Lawson and his personal tragedy.

I absolutely love this episode. It's one I watched a lot, especially to fall asleep to, as it was on my favourite disc from season 5. I feel so strongly for Lawson, especially when he asks if he has a soul too and how he theorizes that Angel maybe gave him a tiny piece of his soul, just not enough. It's quite an interesting idea. When he's practically begging Angel to take his life, it just gets me every time. It reminds me of Angel with Faith in the alley, except this time there was no redemption. Then to have Angel and Spike just sit with the weight of that, with their experience of having souls, and Spike finally really starting to understand the gravity of his soul and his past actions, it just is perfection to me. I also don't mind that they didn't mention Cordy. I really love the send off she got and I don't want that cheapened in a throw away comment, but that's just me. If they mention her I need it to be more meaningful. As someone else said, I do think that perhaps it was discussed, just off screen. It is odd to have a filler episode right after Cordy, but I feel like it fits. Like you pointed out, it's a strong reminder of why we fight the good fight. It's so aptly titled. That moment with Gunn was definitely weird. I did like when Wes took that little dig at Knox. lol. Him and Fred getting closer is of course very nice. The next episode is really fun. I just love season 5 so much. It's not my favourite, but it's really good. Like Cordy said, we gotta get our guy back on track.

I can see why this EP wouldn't be a memorable or good episode after what we just went through but back then it was kinda the way TV shows did it. They'd have a big mid season EP like the one we just had with cordy and then boom almost like a reset EP as soon as they come back til the finale drama starts. I am sad they didn't even mention her but at this point, we had closure of her character and in life sometimes we don't even get that. I hate how Joss did Charisma in general, I was actually shocked they gave her a closing episode honestly. I enjoy the spike and angel banter so much, I'm glad you do too. This is another reason Im rallying for supernatural. You'll find similar banter and bromance. ;)

Hey Darcie, late to the party, but I'm back for the end of Angel at least. Sorry money's just been really tight lately. Okay, I need to catch up on reactions. :)
