The title comes from the fact that the girls from Lilith house spat on the dean's van, as well as egged it. It's not actually a clever pun.

Gotta say, my dad made meatloaf (he's an annoyingly good cook) and oh my god no. NO! I almost hurled!

Behind the scenes info for you, while VM was always a critic favorite, it always had low ratings. It was on the UPN for season 1 and 2 and then The WB and UPN merged to make the CW. The CW picked up VM for season 3 but they thought that the season long mystery thing was one of the reasons for the low ratings because if you missed some episodes early on in the season you’d miss context for the overall mystery. So the network asked Rob Thomas to have multiple mysteries that would tie up within a couple of episodes instead of a season long one. So as you can tell, the rape mystery was tied up in episode 9 and the next mystery was set up (who killed the Dean). Because of that, this episode plays like a season finale would. And this is probably my favorite episode of season 3 because of that. It’s really good and I’m happy that the rape stuff didn’t drag all season.
