Ugh heat waves are THE worst! This summer has been a brutal one down in Southern California.

Was too bad this episode really had mixed messages about gender stereotypes. It was both saying that being a slimy aggro douchebag and liking pickup trucks was genetically male. Even Manny's convo with Alan at the bar was cringe, where Alan says that the "good kind" of woman is one that likes having chairs pulled out and doors opened for her, implying that there is something wrong with women who don't like those things. Of course, it could also just be that Alan is saying since he likes doing those things that he prefers women who like it too, but the message was unclear. The whole episode seemed to really be saying that men and women are different in ways that conform to those stereotypes and the only thing they have in common is that they don't want to be rejected. Prue basically says as much at the end, that "we're different...but we both feel the same emotions." As if opening pickle jars and fixing the AC are Chromosome XY traits. I wish they had at least highlighted the fact that if Manny fixed the AC, it was because Prue already knew how to do all those things, but instead the "complicated manspeak" explanation for how the clogged AC filter tripped the circuit breaker leading to Phoebe giving a "I'm a woman and don't care or know what you're talking about Mr Manny the toolbelt-wearing handyman" look leaves me rolling my eyes so hard. Unfortunately one of the worst and most dated episodes imo
