Currently at 22 minutes - I absolutely love this episode so much. Though I'm not wiccan, and this show is heavily wiccan based: the practices and getting back to the roots is so spot on for what the craft is. The sweeping the broom, the hat centering us, the apples core being protection etc. So good. Also laughing so hard at you not remembering the grimlocks lol lol "oh Andy" Lavender substitute: chamomile, calendula and mugwort are all good substitutes. I absolutely loved Phoebe being the one to create the flying witch cliche lol And them bringing the first of their line into life. Melinda is the beginning of the line because technically she was the first natural born witch in their bloodline to create them aka born with magical powers. Which isn't a spoiler, this was all said on first episode when Phoebe was learning the book. This was such a an important episode and one of my all time favorites. Prues costume was my fave. I don't know if mentioned before by anyone but back when this was airing, they also came out with novels. Do not look them up yet, not until at least season 6. So some of the novels followed exact episodes like the first book was literally the first episode but other novels were off script and they could do some more outlandish stuff and travel. I definitely recommend looking into them later on. I loved them.

I'm finally caught up! At least with charmed. Lol. I have been waiting forever for season 3!! I can't wait to see what you think. This episode always sticks out in my mind, it's such a good one. It's definitely got a 'Practical Magic' vibe to it.

I LOVE so much about watching this with you. Your nicknames - Credits Cole, our Golden Retriever LOL. Understanding all the wordplay and injokes that the characters don't get, but we do (and also knowing what's coming for them when you don't).
