Ah, somehow I'm an episode behind and need to catch up! Because this one is so good.

yeah 13 is the actual season finale, dont let anybody tell you otherwise

Ashley Johnson, my love! Most known for her VA work but has done a bit of live action stuff sprinkled throughout her career. Although, she's probably most notably Ellie in The Last of Us games and also known for her roles in Critical Role. Poor Wendy, though Sorry, done being a pseudo IMDb search page This episode is just done so well. It's so gruesome and yet so fun! And yes, I would personally recommend 1x13 as the season finale. It's how a lot of us watched it and I don't really see any good reason not to tbh

"I have 38 brains, not one of them thinks you can sign a contract to be a slave. Especially now that we have a black president." I forgot about that line but what the fuck lmaoooo. I just know somebody incredibly white wrote that specific line and I cannot be convinced otherwise

Another great episode. The back half of season one is cooking with six of the seven being great. Even then "Haunted" I is still pretty good. Love the use of the track "In Dreams" in the beginning. Between the way it's shot & Whiskey's dancing you can see the homage to David Lynch's Blue Velvet. The score before the security team breaches & they're torturing the client is fantastic as well. That Whiskey reveal sure is something. There have been some hints here & there. Like Darcie said it really plants the seed in your mind not to trust anything you see. Alan takes center stage for most of the episode & it's a solid audition piece for his later Joker role. I enjoy the different ways visually or otherwise to emphasize there are multiple people in his head & any of them can grab the wheel at a moment's notice. We finally learn his backstory & see the composite event. His treatment of his handler in the moment is especially horrifying & I'm surprised they got that past the censors. I like the choice of having Rossum experiment the tech on prisoners in exchange for leniency. It's also good that Paul is the one to suss that out giving his dogged nature throughout the series. Speaking of Paul he saves the girl, just not the one he originally planned on. Him working there is a solid story beat considering his life is in tatters. He also seems to be the only person that realizes the tech is fallible & you can't erase who a person is deep at their core. Ashley Johnson is good here as Caroline. I think she has a very likable quality as an actress. It's a shame Blindspot isn't a more watchable. Echo being able to confront Caroline is so satisfying. We've been gradually seeing her try to develop a sense of self throughout the series. Having all the imprints dumped in her the same way it was for Alpha also gives some of the earlier episodic episodes of the season more meaningful. Very excited for the finale.

Dr. Saunders revealed to be Whiskey, Alpha revealing his big plan and also how crazy he is, Paul joining the Dollhouse, Echo talking to Caroline & November being freed. Just an all around great and story packed episode. I also appreciate the moment where we see Topher sad and emotionally impacted by the conversation with Saunders. He rarely takes the time to reflect on the serious ethical ramifications of his work and I'd like to think that was supposed to be the moment where it is all hitting him. I do have to say that the line about the president being black really hasn't aged well. Honestly not sure it was all that good originally, but now it just stands out in an otherwise beautiful scene. Can't wait to see your reaction to episode 13 and then season 2.

It’s interesting that all of them are very smart people but never thought of the importance of human conscience and how it affects you at your core. They study all these personalities but never thought different conscience ticks may bleed through into that person

FINALLY continuing my catch up! (A broken wrist and trying to care for an elderly parent is no joke.) This episode is so packed and full with both action and dialogue, and you cannot look away for a second! The Whiskey reveal was so great especially since you picked up on the hint a couple of episodes ago. Pretty cool of Paul to get Madeline released early. I haven't seen Ashley Johnson in much since well, Growing Pains. Going to need to look her up. Can't wait for more!
