I saw the notification and RAN. I don’t think I’m overstating it to say Blink is a fan fave

Lais

BLINK!!! ON MY BIRTHDAY?! I deserve this. Untouchable episode honestly

oh man, I've been waiting for this one for SO LONG. One of the best episodes not just of Doctor Who, but of television in general.

steven moffat is my favorite writer, he's responsible for the episode with the child with the mask (the empty child/the doctor dances) and the girl in the fireplace, also this one! you can look forward to see his name below the episode's name, it usually means it's gonna be a ride (usually.......)

There's magic in this episode Darcie's reaction confirmed that. I haven't seen this episode countless times. Probably only maybe six. It's enough to get attached to characters you only briefly see . Crying about Billy's passing just minutes after meeting him. How else can you describe it but magic? You get so incredibly invested in the characters that you just met that you don't even notice The Doctor isn't around.

This episode is famous for the Weeping Angels but the true heart of the episode is Sally’s story. It honestly wouldn’t have worked if the main cast and characters wasn’t so amazing. I love Sally. That ending scene is one of my favorites. The music, The Doctor telling her it’s nice to meet her, the shot of “sparrow and Nightingale” the same name her friend wanted them to be called as investigators. It’s all just so good. So much emotional heart that honestly the weeping angels almost become just a background element lol.

The way I will never look at Angel statues the same again

James Miller

This is probably the highest quality stretch of stories from New Who. Overall, Series 5 and 6 are the best for me, they didn't have three episodes in a row as good as the past 3 here.

The only part I didn't like was the ending of all the statues and his voiceover. I didn't think that was needed. I'd rather it of just ended with them going back into the shop. But maybe I'm alone in that.

The Weeping Angels are such a fantastic concept for a Who monster / villian. The writing and character onscreen dynamics help make the episode what it is. But I'd like to also commend the production team in all elements of their practical design. The actors playing the Weeping Angels for some of this episode too, Aga Blonska and Elen Thomas. Both sets of the team help us forget those are people playing those roles. Especially in the modern world of CGI becoming as casually prevalent as it has. People can laud Moffat as his creations. But it's the whole team that help to bring them alive. 👏

Literally such an iconic episode, heavy on the iconic. Just one of those episodes of not just great doctor who, but great sci-fi/horror 😭 Carey Mulligan? HIT! Weeping Angels? HIT! Non-linear time frames? HIT!!! SO many good quotes tho ugh, “Wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey stuff” is so important to me specifically 😭 literally the show in a nutshell “It goes ‘ding’ when there’s stuff.” I love him And ofc “It’s the same rain.” 🥹😭

And the fact that the Doctor didn’t have any more transcript because Sally told him to keep an eye on the Angel so he couldn’t write anymore 👀👀

"Yeah, listen listen. Gotta dash. Things happening... well four things. Well four things... and a lizard." That was my text alert sound in high school for at least a year. Back when you'd leave your phone off silent. Anyway, I do love this episode a great deal. When Doctor Who goes spooky, it tends to do it very well.

Superplin

I'm not even a Dr. Who person and I think this episode is amazing.

The best Easter egg in this episode is US, the AUDIENCE! We are part of the show! Coz the angels can't move when WE look at them and we don't even know it! That's *CHEF'S KISS*

One of the classic episode of New Who. Just an amazing performance by Carey Mulligan, who would go on to be nominated for 3 academy awards, as Sally Sparrow. This is the episode to show people who have never seem Doctor Who before as to what it can be at this highest level. Not just a silly sci-fi show (it’s like Hush or The Body is to Buffy) but that it can be so much more. It’s where the phrase “timey wimey stuff” that defines Doctor who in general. and the weeping angels, the most famous of the “new who” villains comes from. Just amazing writing and acting
