I just hit play, but i just wanted to say: it was so funny hearing you say things like "i dont think we would be introduced to a new companion on a christmas special, but it would be nice to see donna again" and we couldnt even say anything about it

Alec, Seeker of Shine Sprites

The return of the Rose Tyler religion is most welcome. I’ve waited so long for that reaction you have no idea lol. And Donna’s back! Also don’t know if you recognized him but her grandfather was the man from the Christmas special who was running that little shop in the abandoned street. Donna and the Doctor together are the most hilarious duo so excited. This episode more than any proves why multi season characters/stories are amazing. Seeing Donna and Rose again just gives you that satisfactory feeling. Seeing Rose’s face just brings me back to series 1 and it makes me sob lol 🌹

Andrew Nicholson

Thank you for another fun reaction. You always make me smile! Hang on to your hat, season 4 has a lot of really fun call backs (- and call-forwards you’ll only understand in retrospect. )

Tobly

Rarely does anything from doctor who make me tear up anymore (due to me watching it a thousand times) but the ending with Wilfred Mott makes me tear up everytime RIP Bernard Cribbins

I love season 4 I’m so excited for these reactions! And I was GLUED waiting to see your reaction to Rose haha, it did not disappoint! I remember audibly shrieking when this aired lol. It was the talk of many family dinners after this episode lol

Welcome to the best series of Doctor Who!!

DSJ.

KWEEN! (By which I primarily mean Donna, ofc, but also Rose, you, and the Doctor. Kweens one and all!) Would I take those pills to lose weight? Yes, yes, I would. Side effects be damned... Is an Adipose pill better or worse than Ozempic? Who knows, but at least the Adipose pills were affordable (putting aside the nefarious plan behind them, of course). Also, I want a wee Adipose baby. TOO CUTE. Look at their little toof.

Nat' (Evilbean)

fun fact: the appearance of Rose at the end was taken out of the press projection. This was one of the rare times the secret made it until the day of the TV diffusion and the collective reaction was that much bigger because of it! I love Donna and the Doctor dynamic a lot, Best friends through time and space - let’s GO. I love series 4, just pure nostalgia for me.

Lesley

Darcie, the way I have been WAITING for this reaction. So excited for you to see Donna is back and of course our glimpse of Rose. I will always be a Rose Tyler girlie first and foremost but the Doctor/Donna friendship is such a good time 💕

Em

I got so into the Doctor + Donna fun that only moments before did I remember you were about to see Rose Motherfreaking Tyler!! Such a good start to the season :)

Daniel McGuinness

The Rose reveal in this episode was actually groundbreaking, like that was TV history right there and 10 year old me wasn’t ready 😭 even the anticipation on this rewatch seconds before she was revealed literally had me yelling and getting butterflies 😫😫😫 You immediately tearing up 😭 so valid

Daniel McGuinness

DONNA’S BACKKKK ❤️ it’s been so hard not to mention her since the runaway bride, but we have our season 4 companion and SHE’S HIS BESTIEEEE 🥹🥹🥹 Both companions we’ve seen so far in NuWho have been romantically attracted to the Doctor, so it’s nice that they address it and make clear that Donna does NOT like his ass like that 😂 and it works! They’re just besties! Catherine Tate, who plays Donna, was primarily known as a comedic actress in the UK at the time, and even had her own sketch show, she’s hilarious! But honestly some of her dramatic acting moments this season are probably some of the most moving I’ve ever seen 🥹 get ready

Dannielle

Donna! My Donna, my companion!! I love The Doctor + Donna friendship they have such a natural chemistry and they're best friends and I love that. Probably my favourite Tardis team, I think.

Daniel McGuinness

Also idk if you noticed but Donna’s grandad, Wilf, was the old man that the Doctor and Astrid bumped into in London at Christmas in the episode prior!

Neil Silverman

I am so excited for this season with you. I love this season. Catherine Tate is outstanding this season and Donna is such a great character. This is gonna be so much fun!

Daniel McGuinness

Also, you KNOW they sold Adipose plushies in the UK The fact I didn’t get one still keeps me up at night
