I don't necessarily dislike Max, but i dont ship them (i mean, who would with Lorelai and Luke standing right there). I hate Dean, hate hate. I hate everything about him, the way he talks, the pressure he always puts on Rory... And I hate that the "happy moment" is both of our Girlmore Girls getting serious/back together with the wrong ships, it hurts me actually

Amy Sherman-Palladino said there were 100,000 daisies in that scene! She said 1,000 looked like nothing, so they cleared all the yellow daisies from the whole state of California and then some!

That song they play at the end encapsulates my feelings on season 1 of this show. It just feels like being welcomed to a second home. So excited for season 2! And just be lucky you don’t have to wait too long until then 🤣

I don't really hate Max/Lorelai and that first proposal WAS bullshit. But fuuuuuuck, those daisies were so romantic. I would marry Max too lmao. I love the shot of Lorelai being surrounded by them, accepting the fact that she doesn't need to run away. That just maybe she found who she was meant to be with. Granted, I personally feel like it's for all the wrong reasons, but that's not even remotely how Lorelai is feeling as she sits there and takes it all in Rory/Dean? I...fuck, I just don't like Dean. Not that I like Tristan either. At this point in her life, it's clear to me that Rory could do better. Or at the very least, could do well with just...not being with any guy for now. Especially when both of your love interests have anger issues and connections with future CW projects that ran for longer than they should have Desires for season 2? More Kirk and more Babette featuring Morey and/or Ms. Patty. Also more Lalalala song moments to cry to

I'm not a big sweets person (I take a bite or two of a decadent dessert and that's all I need) but that cheesecake looked bomb af. You should definitely be proud of that one

Finally able to start watching today, and so excited to hear you are going with my split of making your hiatus the same as what the show did back when it aired! Look forward to watching over the fall :)

While i'm generally in the 'I don't mind Max' camp, first I feel like they have spent so little actual time dating- like chill out my dude. And second on this watch I noticed he both pulled Lorelei into him after she was talking to Luke at the town meeting AND put his hands on her waist and physically moved her to the side before the dick measuring contest! And that was a huge ick- like why is he pulling her around like an object?! The daisy scene is super cute though, but I do think it's funny he wasn't there in person, I guess he doesn't want to pressure her, but proposal by phone call still feels goofy. Like stand in the daisies, in a great suit, say your peace, give her a kiss on the cheek, and walk away.

That apple caramel cheesecake is totally extra and it looks amazing and I would totally eat that whole thing and I don't even really like cheesecake all that much. I do have some last of the season peaches I'm going to turn into cobbler though later tonight or tomorrow. Then I'll move on to the fall stuff in earnest.
