Rory is a touch of a people pleaser lol. We’ve seen her stand up for herself but I think she has the need (like a lot of us) to be liked by others. Chris is not good for Lorelai. Every time he’s around she gets horny af I’m just gonna say it lol. He’s like a bad drug that needs to stay away from her at all times.

I love spending more time with Emily because you really see the origin of Lorelai's wit and jokes — despite all of their differences, they definitely have that in common!

I love what Lorelai did for Emily at the end. Not only is it incredibly sweet and heartfelt, it's such a huge moment for her to actively *be there* for her mom when she needed somebody. It feels like such a great step in the right direction of mending their relationship, to just be there for her--whatever Emily decides she needs her to be in that moment. Sometimes, the best we can do for somebody is to just be there and let them decide what they need from us It genuinely makes me cry every time haha

And Richard WAS being a dick! I know he's stressed but he took it out on Emily for MULTIPLE days??? With no apology in sight??!?? That's so fucked!

Lorelai absolutely gives it her all here. She doesn't revel (much) in the fighting between Emily & Richard. Numerous times she shows concerns about what's going on. Even after Emily hits her with "That should've been you up there." jab & walks away she doesn't even budge. Lorelai even makes a surprise visit to her home to check up on her as the episode closes out.

Chris could've at least hinted about his relationship, considering all the flirting he was doing. He set Lorelei up.

A small thing in this ep, but I do feel bad for Jess. Luke saying part of the agreement of him living there is him having to work at the diner? Like Jess didn't choose or even ask to live here, his mom decided she couldn't deal with him and pawned him off on Luke. So while there wouldn't be anything wrong with him working there, making it conditional and like he's doing Jess a favor does seem kinda shitty, when he's kinda just been abandoned by his mom.

Lais

I think when he says that, he's referring to the end of the last episode in which he tells Jess that he is going to take care of him whether he likes it or not and part of that would envolve graduating high school, not get into trouble and help him out at the diner. It was not a general condition, just their agreement.

The chemistry between Lorelai and Christopher is off the charts 🥵 I love them

Here for GG...my favorite show of all time. Will sign up properly after your current hiatus, I think you start with GG again next week? Love your reactions, and I must say it's so much more fun to watch the full-length version, as opposed to the edited Youtube ones. You have a lovely energy, and I appreciate you pausing the video here and there, and not talking over the scenes. :) Thanks!
