It's crazy to me, going back to season 1 and looking at Piper then vs Piper now. Middle sister evolving into oldest sister. I think she's killing it.

Love this episode because.....Barbas! lol. He's a great villain. But also I love exploring the new fears the sister's are dealing with because they are in very different circumstances than they were before. Piper is pregnant and that has unlocked a whole new set of concerns and fears. And the first time Paige interacts with Barbas and getting under her skin is really cool. But I gotta give props to Alyssa's performance in that scene where she's crying over killing Paige, cause, tbh Alyssa isn't the best cryer (sorry) lol, but in that moment she really made me believe it. And this fear that she has, thinking she is evil or destined to become evil is not necessarily new, just triggered by her reluctance to let Cole get close to her. But Phoebe has been struggling with this fear since at least season 1, when the Woogyman possessed her and we learned how the magic that powers the manor (the Nexus) can sway towards the dominant magical presence in the house and that Phoebe is connected to the manor because she's the one born in the house. So she has this constant fear of turning evil, that its very easy for her to go evil (like her past life in the 20s, or seeing how in a future timeline she used her powers to kill a person, etc). The whole experience of becoming queen of the underworld and carrying the essence of the Source inside her womb was just the thing that cemented those lingering fears for Phoebe.

Definitely agree with the growth of Piper. It's easily why she is my favorite sister. I seriously hate the way they do Cole 😭
