The second Troubadour did not, in fact, had success in his mission to spread peace in Israel. Since last episode, from now on, it's just banger till the end of the season. This season 2 final stretch is so so good. (hope this is not considered a spoiler)

That was a really sweet episode. The end reminded me of my grandfather's (who was well loved and not at all that kind of curmudgeon) funeral. He was a WW2 vet and was buried with military honors. I found it surprisingly moving. On the show, I'm glad those guys did that. I think it's important to remember that all of our funerary rituals really exist for the living, not the dead.

This is a lovely episode. It's nice to spend an entire episode in Stars Hollow & have everything centered around there. I love shows about quirky towns so much. I haven't been able to find a new one since Hart of Dixie was canceled. I watched the entire season of Best Medicine & it was okay but it didn't fully scratch that itch.

I'm so glad that you are already noticing the similarities between Luke and Jess because I have read so much post-revival fanfic that centers on that premise. But I can't talk about that because it is full of spoilers.

I think this a great episode. Just Lorelai and the town being there for Luke is really nice to see. Lorelai and Rory helping out at the diner, the war reenactment guys and Jess in his own little way. I also like the sub plot with Sooki, it’s just such a shame the early 2000’s gotta be the early 2000’s sometimes. The M slur did not need to be repeated like 50 times. Luckily stuff like that is usually kept to a minimum in this show. But I do gotta grit my teeth and remind myself it was a different time when it happens.
