Such a fun start to a season!! I am so seated for this one!

I think it would be fun for you to take another look at the kids drawings when you complete the season!

Ming Na Wen suffered a knee (or some sort of leg) injury in real life around this time which inspired May's leg injury when she appears in space, so any sort of limp or limits would make sense within the show!

Those bloopers were fun! I don't think I'd seen those before. Oh, and if you like the Maze Runner, one show to think about adding to your backlog is 2010's "Teen Wolf", which stars Dylan O'Brien (the lead in the Maze Runner). It's a surprisingly fun little supernatural soap opera show.

I don't want to say anything about the season as a whole, because my memory is fuzzy and I don't want to drop any spoilers. Enough to say I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing what you think of it. It definitely was a great season opener! Also, I've been watching the live-action One Piece, and it's been bothering me for a while that I recognize one of the actors (Buggy the Clown) but I couldn't for the life of me remember where, and now I realize that it's the same actor who plays Deke. That really scratched a mental itch, I can't even tell you.

SUCH a fantastic season opener! Like you said, that final scene where the music was slowly building up was just so. Damn. GOOD. 10/10, no notes Also, your relief of not seeing Ward was both hilarious and relatable lmao

I'm so happy you decided to react to the bloopers. That was a fun way to jump into the new season. I always love season openers and your reaction did not disappoint!

Its funny you mentioned Doctor Who at one point, cause the guy at the start ripping off his skin suit reminded me of the Slitheen!

When this aired, they actually aired episodes 1 & 2 back-to-back, which, thank GOD. 😁 It also made sense since they're titled Orientation part 1 & 2. I actually didn't guess the twist until Deke asked about when they came. I was like, "Oh, crap." I just thought they were in space. SHIELD, in the comics, does have a counterpart in space called S.W.O.R.D., not S.P.E.A.R. like Yo-Yo thought😆 It's focus was directed outward, towards threats from space while S.H.I.E.L.D. was focused on threats on Earth. The reference to having people on the moon was probably a reference to The Inhumans comic, where they had a domed city that could move and for a long time it was on the moon. Sometimes it was under the sea. Come to think of it, the ancient city in S2 where Daisy and Raina were changed was probably a reference to that. I remember expecting to see a whole civilization down there and was a little disappointed that was abandoned.
