I had not forgotten how anti jess lorelai was but I had forgotten how pro dean she was and wow is it frustrating lol

The lady who plays Sophie, the music store owner, is Carole King, who sings the theme song. :)

Kirk's 5,000 jobs - a running gag of the show. He's probably my favorite character. 🤩 Love Luke, too!

"I get to hate him forever." That spoke to my soul. If Jess has no haters, it means Lorelei and I are dead.

This is such a strong episode for everyone's behaviour feeling real and earned while still allowing for conflict and ~discourse~ . Season 2 is just so so good. And Luke is a strong contender for thee man of all time tbh

To be fair, she’s seen all the good sides of Dean. She doesn’t see the side of him when it’s just him and Rory and Rory doesn’t talk bad about him. Also compared to Jess anyone’s gonna seem like a good boyfriend lol.

I don’t hate Jess, but it’s one of those situations where I completely understand why some of the characters do lol. This kid was a jerk to everyone, stole things, played multiple pranks and then crashed a car with the town’s favorite girl inside. Like I hate to say Jess did it to himself, but he made his own reputation. I’d probably dislike him too if he were real. I think Lorelai is extra upset because she was dead set against the tutoring and she partially blames herself for letting it happen, so she puts all the blame and hate on Jess so she doesn’t have to think about it.

i must say your constant hate of jess ALWAYS makes me laugh! never stop lol

i was gonna say if she had seen some of the moments with dean that we saw, i think she would think differently but!

I'm just glad Lane found her calling, at least for now. I hope she's able to get out from her mother's thumb.

It's insane to just how insulated Richard is here. The most basic things are totally foreign concepts to him. He still has almost no grasp of what Lorelai does or how good she is at it. We also get yet another scene where she's able to connect with her family but it's so short-lived. Richard is selfish & thoughtles. He expects her to just put her life on hold & bristles the moment there's pushback. It's nice to see him let his hair done & not be so stuffy at the end.
