One of my favorite S5 episodes...I love how it brings one of May's main character arcs full circle. She went from wanting to start a family with Andrew to then having to kill an Inhuman girl in Bahrain. And that pain and guilt has haunted her since, ending her marriage, being more hardened with her emotions. Then she starts slowly opening up as this SHIELD team becomes like a family and now she learns that a version of her has accepted to become a mother figure and raise an Inhuman girl (of all people) like her own daughter. And in the end of the episode, Coulson stares intently at May holding the dead Inhuman girl on the floor, paralleling when he found her in Bahrain holding the dead girl in her arms. Only this time May isn't racked with guilt and shame; she holds Robin with maternal care and kinship.

Idk if you're aware of the visual glitch but the video gets really really blurry right when Robin calls May "mom"

This episode is wonderful and emotionally impactful. The first time through it can be tough to follow as we jump back and forth in time with Robin and see the "end of the world" through her perspective. May being Robin's mom and taking care of her as a child and then also comforting her in death makes me cry every time!
