No, you should not find fingernails confusing, you're spot on. Fingernails are much better for brachiation (moving hand over hand through trees) and are excellent grooming tools, particularly among social groups where individuals groom each other, promoting greater socialization and family unity. Thus, as primates (including humans) evolved, we ended up losing claws and gaining fingernails instead. BTW, I highly recommend primatologist and youtuber "Gutsick Gibbon", she's fantastic!

That really was a very good speech... I hope it's the beginning of a turnaround, because these last few episodes have been kind of bleak I feel. Though I did enjoy the Keeley saga in this episode. I'm with you - I did NOT see that coming. Interesting turn of events with Nate too - beginning of some sort of redemption arc? EDIT: maybe that bleakness I'm feeling is related to the run-time and emotional focus that you mentioned in your post-episode thoughts, 'cause I'm feeling the same.

The Keeley being Bi thing has only come up in very casual convo. Back in S1E7 when they went on the road to Liverpool, Keeley said something like "If I did decide to dip my toe back into the lady pool" it would be with Rebecca. So it was never a big BI flashing sign, just a subtle mention, but it was there.

Rebecca never talked about wanting kids. We learned about her wanting kids when Rupert came to see her at Richmond and tell her that Bex was pregnant in the season one finale. “You always said you didn’t want children…”. “I guess I just never wanted one with y- before. I never wanted one before.” Then we saw the devastation on her face before she went to confess everything to Ted.

This show really loves to promote inappropriate workplace relationships, doesn’t it? Lol I’m with you on this season feeling off… it’s like the writers took everything that was great about the show and dismantled it because they didn’t know what else to do. It feels like it’s time for them to wrap up the series.

ah okay! i definitely had thought it had been mentioned before but couldnt remember!!

darcieswatchingbuffy

yeah its definitely hit a lull for me - i still really love these characters but the episodes just arent hitting as they used to. hoping it can pick up for the latter half maybe once they get better adjusted to the episode length!

darcieswatchingbuffy

yeah im really hoping once they get adjusted to the longer run time things will flow better but for the first time in this series ive found myself getting a little bored the last couple episodes! crossing my fingers it works itself out and we go out with a bang for the latter half!

darcieswatchingbuffy

okay RIGHT! like i couldve thought of 100 other things about humans to put in that dialogue that are far more confusing lol

The next two episodes are my favorites!

James B.

The hostess at the restaurant who refuses to acknowledge Nate's celebrity...she might be my favorite person on the show. I think I would have been happier if she didn't get with Nate. But I'll allow it.
