Ooh, you're making it through the sponsors. 👀

Clara Gros-Louis

Yes, it actually is the cast singing and playing, they did 3 months of band camp before shooting :)

Neil Silverman

I have never heard of this show. I guess I'll watch the first episode and see how it is...

I do love music, though I never use spotify. Every few weeks I just check what's been released recently and what's coming soon, and I buy albums. I have thousands on my phone, and even more on CD that I haven't bothered to rip (yet). What can I say, I'm old ;-) I liked this first episode, though I must say I didn't love it. I'm finding it reminiscent of the movie "Almost Famous", only slower and more awkwardly paced. But I always give a show 3 episodes to hook me, and now that everyone is in LA, I'm hoping it starts to gel as we see Daisy and the band meet up. I think at this point it could go either way - it could be a really interesting window into the music scene and industry of the early-mid 70s through the perspective of this fictional band trying to navigate it, or it could end up being a cliched, done-to-death story of drugs, love triangles, and out of control egos tearing a promising band apart. I guess we'll see.

AH this is totally unexpected and so exciting, I absolutely love this show

oh boy, when I read the book it made me so angry that I vowed not to watch the show...that was years ago and now darcie has me reevaluating my decision 🤔

That’s Not Acting

This was one of he first reactions I ever did. You're gonna really like this one, i think. One thing i'll say: this one can be sneaky.

Johnny Coleman

I'm one of those weirdos that doesn't listen to music. I enjoy it I just enjoy audiobooks more. I do have a playlist that I play when I'm with my 3 yo daughter, it's named "raising strong women" always looking for more songs to add to it, cursing is acceptable.

DaniJay

The BEST surprise to see you’re reacting to this one! It’s an absolute gem of a show and the soundtrack is still in my playlist rotation lol The Fleetwood Mac inspiration is done so well—Stevie Nicks actually loved this show and said it felt like she was a ghost watching her own story, particularly Riley’s performance as Daisy

DaniJay

Also yes the actors are really singing and playing the instruments—they had an extra long band camp to get everyone ready to perform for this

Clara Gros-Louis

i'm glad i made people happy with my sponsor :)
