its funny that I watched bones because of angel, and i always felt like Booth and Angel are exactly the same character (which i love), the only difference was the object of addiction (blood and gamble), but even angel's thing for nuns and churches gives that booth's catholicism vibes, also their righteousness and atonement journey... its just my cup of tea I dont know if you ever rewatched bones after finishing angel, but i strongly recommend it, they have a bunch of Angel reunions and references. They even use that same Amends speach with Angela and Hodgins in s10. I love it so much.

I feel like this is the kind of episode that wouldn't really work in Buffy. It has some more "adult-oriented" themes like loneliness, socializing outside of work in a large city, the weight of having to find that perfect someone. I genuinely like this episode for that. Plus the reveal that the demon is a parasite is a fun one with a few good metaphors, if not a bit too on-the-nose.

I love that you've decided that Doyle is the Robin to Angel's Batman :D

I always feel bad that the poor bartender died with being classed as a serial killer. His family would be informed of that too! When he was just the most recent victim of the wormy sex demon

Given the name of the actor who plays Doyle it's probably fair to say it's a genuine accent. Sounds like a Dub. Northern Irish accents are pretty distinctive to the rest of the country - but as long as you never mistake an Irish person as British or say they're basically the same you're good! :D

Ahhh, yes, the Spooning Demon, forking is not necessary, just preferable.

This is one of those random episodes that I probably like a lot more than most people. I love the theme of the episode, the introduction of Kate, the music montage as Angel is looking for the demon and the dynamic between the main three. I think you mentioned in your Buffy s3 review that sometimes individual lines stick with you. Angel saying "that's what lonely people do" when asked how he knows the demon will keep trying to make a connection is a great line that I think David Boreanaz delivers really well. It's one of the first time since we've met Angel that he really acknowledges that he is lonely, and it's nice to get a peak behind the curtain at what he thinks and feels given how introverted a character he is. Super fun reaction as always :-)

I love the montage music: "Touched" by VAST.

Cordy has certainly fallen on hard times. But I like that she tries to keep her positivity and she's still got her charm like snark. And aw, when she and Doyle fell asleep on each other. I am not nearly as harsh on Angel the character in Buffy as most of you but I have to agree he's more likeable here. Socializing for him is agony. He would literally rather sit at home in the dark. That is someone that cannot be around people very much.
