Darla was staked in season 1 episode 7 "Angel".

Now might be a good time to point out that this episode's themes (family abuse and trauma) is actually a parallel to Angel and Darla's dynamic (she's her "parent" aka sire and as we see in the flashbacks, she was always encouraging him to be more evil) and what Darla is doing to Angel at this point in the show is clearly abuse (she drugs him and then "has sex" with him while he's asleep).
