VIRTUAL HUGS!!!!!

Scott Margeson

All I can say it I am SO sorry we could not protect you from this loss. Also, "react to the series" we said. "It'll be fun" we said. We lied. We are not sorry. 🤣 Also, your silence and non-reaction reaction to the other scene in this episode speaks volumes, and I send a big hug to you for it. 🫂

Oh god I cant wait to watch this after work, but im also dreading it 😞 . Not long to go, last meeting!

charlie ray

I’ve been thinking about how much I do and don’t want to watch this episode with you…. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Kate

Lowkey mad at the ppl told you to pay attention to the credits lol. That title sequence was a dick move on the show's part, rubbing salt in the wound. Losing Tara was bad enough. Sorry for the continued s6 pain, we've been there.

NiCi Kay

After your last reaction I was dreading this one😭 Sending Hugs 🫂🫂 Kinda scared to watch it ngl😟

Robbie Whitesell

my heart dropped at the episode title. seeing your smiling face at the start. going to start now...

Yeah, sorry, this episode hits hard. Stuffed Pika shall be comforting though! Maybe look into getting a Snorlax too, big and round and comforting!

emmaaa

I really question some of the writing decisions in this episode...

I know we’ve all been dreading this episode for you. My reaction to the Spike/Buffy scene was very similar to yours, I couldn’t stop the tears and I couldn’t focus on anything else in the episode for several minutes- it was such a deep feeling of betrayal. And then of course the last scene and Tara😢. This is easily the most controversial episode in the series.

Teresa Schultz

I’m sending you lots and lots of hugs!!!❤️

Addie Pollack

Yeah, this episode is rough. James Marsters (Spike) was traumatized from filming it. I wouldn't look up too much about it yet in case there are spoilers, but here's one quote from him: "It was the hardest day of my professional career, it sent me into therapy. I collapsed on set, I couldn’t even speak, I was shaking. That was a horrible day…when that script came, I was contracted to do anything that they said to anybody that they said to do it. I was legally compelled to do that scene. It wasn’t fun to watch probably, but it wasn’t fun to film either."

The season of depression and sadness just continues. Season 6 is so rough in that respect.

Erika

oh god here we go….i’m so nervous to watch this with you. i know it’s so rough 😔❤️ we all went through it. sending you all the hugs

Harriet Loughnan

It's a fucking difficult episode of TV. You did well getting through it. Also kind of unrelated but I love that you mentioned iZombie. I was going to suggest you react to it - maybe after Veronica Mars - but I guess you've already seen it. It's genuinely one of my favourite shows.

Saga

Sending you lots of hugs<3

To be slightly fair to Spike, the Buffy/Spike sexual relations has always been an entanglement of sex and violence together. Just look at the first time they sleep together in Smashed. It starts off as a fight that then leads to sex. Also, they show many times during the season where Spike starts something sexual, Buffy protests and says no but then accepts and it turns into sex. So to spike, Buffy saying no hasn’t been the end of things in the past if he pushed a little bit more. Buffy’s depression and using of Spike just to feel something during the season has been warped spikes thinking. Now in the end, spike is in the wrong here. Buffy was clearing trying hard to make him stop and he pushed way to far. But I do think that the show has done a good job of showing us through the season why these two associate violence with sex and why what happened did end up happening.

While season 6 is my second favourite season, 9 out of 10 times I skip this episode. It's just too brutal and makes me sick to my stomach. I definitely cried along with you. Like everyone else is saying, sending you lots of hugs. <3

Claire Eyles

Even with trigger warnings I don't think anything can really prepare you for this episode. I'm sorry I couldn't prepare you better, but I didn't want to go beyond just basic trigger warnings without your permission. I hope the trigger warnings you did get helped at least a little bit. Your reaction was powerful and moving either way. Hope you're okay. <3

Marshall Robertson

Wishing you lots and lots of love and healing. It's still a gut punch, all these years later. And the less said about that other scene the better tbh. The more I sit with it, the more I think they could've done something else besides that. Or not make it as long and drawn out. The fact so many women go through this is mind blowingly insane, but the fact that it feels like such a long scene, with flashbacks to it after, feels so gratuitous. Veronica Mars handled it much better IMO. Speaking of which, just a side note, I hope you know iZombie was created by the same guy that created Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas. 😁

Shayne

Where do we go from here? 🎶

Kirsten Stewart

Oh Darcie, I’ve been dreading this episode for you and watching your smiley ‘Happy Tuesday’ greeting was terrible knowing what was to come. I hope pika has given you some comfort and that you’re feeling all the virtual hugs coming your way.

There are 2 episodes of Buffy that I just cannot watch - The Body in season 5, and this one. Still psyching myself up to watch your reaction 😮‍💨

Corey

Here's a fun fact if it helps...Tara and Warren dated in real life for 6 years lol

RNR

I just finished rewatching The Body and noticed something, but I didn't wanna write spoilers over there in case someone hasn't finished watching.....anyway. But I THINK Tara's wearing Willow's blue shirt, the one she was looking for in the dorm scene of The Body. Can anyone confirm or deny this??
