I always liked this season from the very beginning. In some ways, it's my favorite (I also love Moulin Rouge). But I know I was in the minority at the time. In my recollection, it was not received particularly well. Many fans felt it was TOO dark, TOO depressing, and they didn't like that there wasn't _really_ a big bad for the season. And of course Tara... Maybe it was because of where I was in life when this came out (recently married, we were living in a small apartment struggling to get by and figuring out how to be adults). There was a lot that resonated deeply with our own struggles growing up, so I think I appreciated the realism of it.

Glad you're feeling better Darcie, we missed you! I didn't see this show as it was airing but this is definitely my favorite season, weirdly got me through writing my thesis. Was feeling hella depressed for a while but was like compared to what this girl is facing, no way a bunch of words could kill me right? Also why'd you make me cry at the end gosh! I rewatch your reactions all the time, I don't want this to end... Also we share the same fave 2 eps, OMWF and Tabula Rasa are top tier! You should make a bingo card for all your predictions for season 7, I can't wait for you to get into it, but again, I can ;-)

Season six is my second favorite!!! Season 2 is my first. It really wasn't well received and many people don't like how dark it is, but IDK maybe it's because I found it too relatable. Like you said, it was so well done. All the things you said I'm just like, 'yes! Right?!' Lol. Tabula Rasa is a comfort episode for me. I'll put it on and watch only until right when the crystal falls out of willow's pocket. When my friend saw OMWF she ripped it to a DVD and we took a portable DVD player and watched it EVERYWHERE and ALL THE TIME on a constant loop for weeks. Lol. We were obsessed! I also love the wonky time episode (Life Serial) and Flooded, "We burn the house to the ground and collect the insurance. Plus, fire? Pretty." Normal Again was SO good! Top tier episode. Just there's too much to love. Lol. I'm so happy you love it too! I'm so happy you love buffy! ♡ And your edit was AMAZING!!

So I ask a favor Queen Pop- remember your love for spike since his introduction-over all in the btvsverse please remember for Spike that seeing red was one episode, that there was underlying things bts other than what was portrayed on screen and at heart Spike is not that person they wrote for a 90 sec scene. And yes most of us were furious they wrote this and felt it did not match his character development at all. Makes no sense to go from who he was at end of s5 to seeing red. It makes ZERO sense. The doctor thing w the eggs sure cause money- typical but not the bathroom scene. Same goes for taking the shotgun to shoot her- that even made more sense than seeing red. Is he a love sick puppy since before he was spike? Yup. Dudes a sap, not a *****. Then to make worse xander says "he **** you" like a hundred times. When Xander as much as i love him and dont hate on him often; dude has been giving fuck up and judgemental since not telling buffy that they were getting angels soul back. Everyone kinda has their shit moments and then redemption even buffy. Though most argue buffy is the most virtious and stays pretty level headed but id say her fall was overtime leading to s6 but the characters are more human than most. They are portrayed realistically as they can be for a show. Tara is definitely missed and by s6 I was more a tara fan than willow. But dark willow was AMAZING and brought me back to loving willow. Once again Buffy is a little righteous and says no killing humans, but I say he got what he deserved. My hang up with willow was same as yours- she was living in buffys house never contributing financially and got kinda selfish. I absolutely hated the wedding. The ep is good in its self of course cause its buffy but damn i could of wrung Xanders neck through the tv. Lol it breaks my heart each time cause Anya reallyyyyy didnt deserve that but for plot it did move some things along s6 but imo theyre perfect for one another. Side bar- but who really wants to be married by 22? I forget how old they were but i think im close lol. Trust me, we arent ready either for buffy to be over. S7 is an incredible season though and I am excited for you to know the whole btvs universe like we do. I hope it doesnt end on the last ep of angel. I hope maybe we can do rewatches of the goldies like omwf, maybe do discussions etc. As always with love, Happy Tuesday!

i want to say, this season is also in my top three for its own reasons. season 5 is in my top three for its pure entertainment value and how it feels like the perfect buffyish tone.... if that makes sence.... season 2 is in my top three i imagine mostly because it was when my heart clung into the show and character watching weekley and it found its feet and the drama and places the show went with dark angel was just phenominal.... and season 6 for the risks it took, its messgae about mental health and how life can be the big bad is just mind blowing....
