I mean you're not wrong when you say to skip this episode, lol. I think this episode is a one time watch in my opinion. I like how they've written it to be the way Angel sees his "Perfect Happiness" unfold. Other than that, the episode is a bit boring upon rewatch.

Welcome to my favorite arc in all of Angel! Can’t wait for the next few reactions!

I do find this episode to be an interesting peak inside Angel's mind since most of it takes place there (despite that not being revealed until the end). It's interesting to me to see what Angel's perfect day, leading to perfect happiness is with Wes apologizing, Cordy apologizing, Connor coming to terms with Angel, and Angel finally getting to be with Cordy. When you rewatch this episode, all of the things happening do feel a little bit off. Everyone is being too nice to each other, defeating the beast is a little bit too easy and convenient, things fall into place a little bit too perfectly. The twist ending makes it all worth it.

Also the reason that it's only dark in LA and not anywhere else is because it cant be dark on Buffy too. So the writers just yada yada it.

Ha ha! The leather pants! You're killing me! XD "Despite all his rage, he's still just a vamp in a cage," the Angel version. :P I almost always skip this episode. I've actually been dreading you reacting to it, because I'd have to watch it. However, I was able to watch a good chunk in 2x speed and it allowed me to appreciate what it is! I always get so bored, it feels like everything is too slow for some stupid dream, so this helped. I kind of wish it were real! Cordy and Angel getting to be together, FINALLY, even though I am team platonic relationship for them, it's better than this Connor nightmare *insert barfing emoji*. Gunn is back to being fun and silly with weapons. Especially near the end they play cheesy heroic music that kind of gives it away that it's all too perfect, too fake, though. Your reaction to Cordy and Angel making amends was like mine, because I skip it so often I didn't remember. But the absolute best was the reaction to Connor reacting to that!!! I laughed so hard with you! And then Connor being casually fine, saying he could just tell that she didn't want to be with him, SO NOT CONNOR. lol. You made this a fun episode when it's one I kind of hate, so thanks for that! I think it's the first time I really connected the fact that the shaman made him live out a life that led to perfect happiness to lose his soul. Which is super obvious, but I dislike this episode so much I couldn't connect the dots. I have a new appreciation for this episode, even though it's still a skipper for me. lol. You're right, absolutely nothing happens. :P

This episode is just brilliant, and the closing shot of Angelus laughing is simply haunting. Love it. Also, when Angel uses the same "get over it" line on Connor-- so good!

Is no one going to point out that he said Buffy, not Cordi? Even in a fake, implanted moment of true happiness with Cordelia- it’s still Buffy.
