Just friends between Buffy and Angel? Didn’t Spike tell them…you’ll never be “just friends.” Lol. That’s the truth for great loves. A kiss doesn’t have to mean a love triangle is coming because technically Buffy is not with anyone nor does she belong to either guy.

Buffy and Angel have always picked up where they left off when they see each other, and the last time they saw each other they also kissed. They're soulmates in a way.

Yeah, the Angel/Buffy kiss is shoe-horned in so awkwardly. Doesnt make any sense for the characters, and where they're at in their lives. Joss said in the commentary it was fan-service for the hell of it, for those who stan Buffy and Angel forever. It's easy to forget when you consider why it was written in lol
