i thought that nearly six months after this workshop, i would finally have words to go with the images made during it. i most definitely don't, and in truth, my tokyo trip still feels a bit like a fever dream that may or may not have actually been real.

here are the photos captured by sugiura norio, of anna, tied by me. circling around the room was: akira naka, fede and marta, two other photographers, two translators, several lighting assistants, and several rope assistants and lifters. it was...chaos. amidst the chaos emerged these images.

i'm endlessly grateful for the opportunities i've been given over the past several years, and endlessly grateful for the people that have found their way into my life through rope. the world feels both so big and so small these days.

more adventures are stewing, and i can't wait to share them with you.
