Hello everyone! So, if your up to date on Headquarters (Spoilers if your not,) you'll know that the rules around the HQ system are about to change. I have a specific reason and direction I plan on taking this change, but I would like to hear what the readers think. So, if you have an opinion on this, or any facet of the story, leave a comment. Consider this a check in and a opportunity to point out problems you see!

The first easily munchkin thing is to allow things to crossover if the door is open, gaia can now go into fallout world and fix it too.

I think crafting should be something that is obtainable for any world. Having the supplies for what is needed in these worlds are important and having money isn’t all that important to the overall goals of the HQ but having Craftable Stimpacks and other health related supplies is warranted.

Tbh what's the point of being a hub if trade can't take place, make it a unlock for the "trade" out building. Because with just opening up movement of goods that giant corpse becomes a factory. They have matter conversion replicators in them. Rock in gold out, pure elements only but it's a source of clean usable metal especially if it's harvested and brought back to be studied, don't need to scavenge just break down entire rooms. Not to mention if they get a cradle they can fix the fallout environment.

I would like to see the possibility of recruiting currently living people into his group, from either side, once they are read into what is going on and prove trustworthy. And yes, letting trade and contact occur between the worlds without all the restrictions. Also, the ability to work on and complete more than one quest at a time, I believe currently he can only do one and turn it in before he can choose to start another. Also, are there plans in future to add more worlds? If so, I would recommend keeping the post-apocalypse theme.

If you want things to progress a bit faster he needs more bodies. Instead of a single soldier award him with a fireteam of four. The teams are enough to do some of the missions and you can still have the MC doing missions. I do like the idea of a restoration building. Basically something that can restore items to new condition over time. Power balance it doesn’t restore what’s not there, so car missing wheels, engine ect. Is still missing them.

I have no concrete idea of what the rules are to know what they change to. But I wouldn't mind if the entire thing was overhauled, with no "home" dimension. Things can be taken from side to side, HQ buildings can be placed either side.

I also have to ask what the end goal of this story? What do you hope to achieve, that might help in seeing what you need for your system

I am enjoying the story so far but it does feel like there isn't much interaction with fallout side. I know he met those merchants and killed some raiders but it still feels a bit faceless. Maybe meeting some more characters or atleast a chapter from the pov of someone in the fallout side. But that might just be me.

Maybe have the barracks be able to steadily recruit soldiers, maybe 1 per day, until the cap for the barracks is reached? And other facilities that add soldier types can allow for adjustments to what is recruited to a degree, like for every 4 regular soldiers you get 1 medic or something. This would be a way to slowly grow the number of troops available, while not being that fast and still allowing growth from quests. One of the big issues right now is there is no real growth to the amount of soldiers, which could be crippling if either of the existing soldiers dies, as that massively reduces the teams firepower with no easy way of recovering. Either that or some sort of repeatable quest that gives either a soldier or the soldier conversion kit as a reward so the team doesn't have to just hope for a good quest to show up.

I agree with the idea that he needs more troops. Either a way to more easily recruit, or a quest that gives him a fireteam etc for more boots on the ground. I also think the quest system is a bit clunky where he can only grab one quest at a time and makes knocking out multiple quests at once more complicated than it should be. Maybe he can have 2-4 active quest slots, and if he has to drop one/fail one then that slot is penalized for 24-48 hours?

Depends on your target, a fireteam could be useful to divide in squads and tackle bigger things. Another option is to be able to take over zoomorphs a la Alloy and be able to use them, this brings added issues as those in fallout will notice him and could bring notoriety which isn't exactly great, as for the other side they may distrust him. It could be an interesting exchange of power vs notice while keeping the power block centralized as he wont be able to give many orders except maybe protect to have some protect the main building. EDIT: It would be interesting to see this advance and grow however it depends on how you see the story moving. Multiple groups means both multiple POVs and also expansion but having the fuel to maintain the expanded territory in the Fallout universe, fuel which is not there presently. This also leads towards a more expansive/war like for Fallout. A stronger core with zoomorphs or defenses or other things will mean that they will have to secure their place in the Horizon universe too. This could lead to them manufacturing or producing things either through hunting Horizon machinery or a more industrial "storyplay" where engineering and manufacture is important.

Yeah he needs a means of acquiring more troops as his current situation is that he is getting more structure/ground then he can properly cover if any faction of fallout comes to scavenge. He has no ability to properly hold ground. But it all boils down he needs a bit easier ways to recruit more troops or maybe get more units like robot units, or other types of equipment to act like a force multiplier. Power armor if we're sticking to things only in Fallout or the other game world. So essentially either they need force multipliers or more numbers. I would suggest something like the barracks now producing troops every 2-3 days (forgot the ressuply day) and for each expansion the more troops recruited. For the HQ it produces basic troops Barracks can train different types of troops or enhance them by choice. (Think sharpshooters, breacher, NCO, grenadier, machine gunner, advanced rifleman aka higher quality combat troops. With somewhat better armor but mostly experience and training but not special forces level) For the medical building it produces a combat medic once every 2 resuuplys
