You are doing a right thing, for some reason the JJK community is one of the most blatant with spoilers, I hope you manage to avoid them

Couch Patrol

Aye, so far we're lucky, but the JJk community for the most part haven't discovered us at this point in time, I suspect we will gain an audience around season 2 or possibly whenever the new one comes out. Still, we love the show so we will keep watching it to the end! And then, we will see what follows, need to start a poll soon.

Alex P

For great story, dialogues, characters, themes, animation, action and soundtrack, especially because you liked AoT Kenny - watch Vinland Saga. If you want something not as tonally serious as AoT and want a simpler story, but still well executed and full of great action, great animation and great soundtrack from the composer of AoT - try Solo Levelling

Thorian

S2 lets gooo, btw it states S2E1 on thumbnail 👍

Nice, I'm sad that there won't be more episodes this weekend, but looking forward to next episodes when they boys are back from Rome!

Thorian

Alright since you’ve liked AOT and Berserk, I must suggest you Vinland Saga, it is a seinen like Berserk (seinen targets adult ppl). It has quality art packed with action and emotion, oh and the soundtracks are so good that it adds beauty and pain at the same time. Animation is done by Wit Studio in S1, MAPPA in S2. The writing is rich, sharp and steady, with strong pacing and deep character growth, prolly the best MC development in the manga industry btw. It also explores physiological themes without rushing, letting each moment speak, meaning as I already said, that the writing is peak✍️🔥

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it before but are you guys watching Season 2 of JJK on Blue-ray? Bc if you aren’t I highly recommend, if you can, to do so. The animation on the Blue-ray is much better bc sadly, towards the end, when the episodes were first released some of the animation was incomplete. But they were able to finish it and the finished version is on Blue-ray. So if you can, I highly recommend you get that to have a better experience.

i wanted to write a little bit about gojo and geto's relationship because it's so good. gojo in season 1 is this isolated, god-like character who seems untouchable, literally. no one actually knows that much about him, he's just constantly goofing around and everyone reveres/fears him as the strongest sorcerer. in these episodes depicting their backstory, we see that geto is the only person to truly be casual and chastise him for his arrogant behavior because they're on equal footing. i don't know if you caught it but gojo says to geto "we're the strongest" whereas in the future after geto has betrayed jujutsu high he always says "i'm the strongest." geto was the only person who understood the isolation of being at the top, and they trust each other on a deep level. soulmates fr

Are you guys going to watch in blue ray

Couch Patrol

It does sound like something we'd be interested in. We are however always searching for two animes, one we can do with just the guys (like right now with JJK)) and one we can do not as often but with the girls (like Berserk currently) Which do you think Vinland would fall under better?

Alex P

Ah, a fellow Vinland Saga enjoyer, completely agreed

Alex P

This! Totally forgot about that, yes, please make sure you watch the blu ray edition, there are some big differences there

Alex P

Definitely watch Vinland with the Berserk appreciating girls :D

Alex P

And Solo Leveling with the boys after JJK would be a nice idea too

Thorian

That would be even better!! Assuming Vinland is a candidate on the list for the next two new anime... I'd definitely recommend you to watch it together with the girls, obviously for its moments it delivers 🥀. And just so you guys know, I rarely comment or even subscribe to patreons for that matter lol but somehow I really am enjoying your reactions so far and I feel lucky I found ya, so keep up the great work 😁🙏

Couch Patrol

Honestly dont know what we have.. xd not sure if this is blure ray or not.
