I feel like Nobara was kinda the perfect character to kill off. Nanamis death was a death that made sense like you guys said and im sure thats how most felt. But Nobaras death is so out of line that even with the full 15 min flashback people still cant believe she died. The point is to really do something different and show you how ruthless this world can be. And i know that sounds repetitive but killing a "main" character is the best way to do that because they seem unkillable. Yuji already "died" once so killing him again now wouldnt make much sense. Hes also the MC lol. Megumi has so much potential right now narratively especially with his dynamic with Sukuna so killing him is out of the question too. The episode didnt sit perfectly with me just because of the looong flashback sequence that delayed her death too much even though the character development from it was necessary. I just think it couldve been shortened plenty. They are adpating the manga though so no complaints really, I enjoyed as a whole. Just the right death at this point in the story in my eyes. RAISING THE STAKES

Couch Patrol

Oh there is an argument to be made for the stakes, anyone can die etc, that was the reputation that Game of Thrones had back in the day, at least for the first 4 seasons, but each death must add something to the story, the characters have arcs and potential etc, and while I would have been perfectly fine with them killing her off, the fact is we barelly got to know her and I did not care as much as I could have coz she wasn't developed, the effect on yuji that the author wants to put could have been achieved with Nanami's death alone, this just felt random, and what's worse is in the next episode they tease she may live, so now I am sure she will be back at some point. :D To conclude, I agree with you, the flashback comment included, just the fact that we did not spend enough time with her beforehand is what doesnt work here..and the fact we lost one major character in the last episode.

Couch Patrol

Hahah, and how did you feel about this death?
