Couldn't Ryuk just find some apple tree😂 Of course Shhinigami didn't play ordinary cards, the card with the sheep/goat-like figure represents something like sacrifice / being led to death. It fits the episode's increasingly ominous situation. The other card has many dark figures/shapes, suggesting death, danger, or a crowd of people.
