Here's to the future! (Patreon)

Greetings everyone!

I am very pleased and excited to announce that we currently have met the stretch goal on my Patreon! Thank you to all my generous Patrons for contributing and believing in my work. For now, I can continue to make animations without worrying about YouTube’s terrible policies on animated videos. If it holds, there is a bright future ahead of us.

What this means for everyone is that “Sonic Zombies” will return in April (April Fools day will be Sonic Zombie day), and “Christmas with Sonic” will return next Christmas season. This boost in the Patreon was very sudden, so we didn’t have time to prepare a new “Christmas with Sonic” for this year, however a compilation of all of the previous Christmas with Sonic’s will be released next month with some new story beats in between segments and fixed copyrighted audio. Both “Sonic Zombies” and “Christmas with Sonic” will return once a year so long as the stretch goal stays met.

Right now, I am working on finishing “Sonic in JAWS: The Finale Reanimated” which has been a very difficult project due to technical issues and having a serious flu earlier this summer which delayed production. I am trying my best to finish it in time to premier at Sonic Expo in Texas which I will be attending next month. I hope to see some of you there! I will have a panel on Saturday November 9th in which I hope to premier the JAWS short, or at least whatever is done by then followed by an audience Q&A!

After that, I have a short animation I will be releasing on December 19th which is a part of a collaboration between myself, Sassostudios, Shadow759, Roowee, and Mike Darklighter. We’re all pulling together for a fun short story! Once that is completed, it’s back to Sonic in “Scared Stupid: The Final Chapter” full time. I cannot say when it will be finished, but I can promise that it will be worth the wait. I appreciate your patience, and I know you’ll be very happy with the final results. It will be at least 30 minutes of animation which is a huge undertaking, but it will be worth it.

In December I will also be doing another on camera update to share what the future holds for the channel, and details about what I will be doing going forward. Things are looking good, but it’s very important to remember to continue supporting the Patreon, and consider becoming a member, but please only do so if you can. Do not join if it’s going to be a burden!

For you free members, pledging is the best way to help the channel! Upgrade to paid and you get your name in the credits and more if you decide!

Since I started making videos I have always tried to make high quality entertainment and not rush out something for the sake of uploading something to appease the algorithm. I respect my audience too much to succumb to making cheap, quick, and worthless “content”. I’m not trying to be a “YouTuber”, so much as I just want to create fun and enjoyable videos. My way of doing things is very outdated, and my channel isn’t relevant, so this Patreon is my last ditch effort to remain consistent without selling out. Personally I’d rather end my channel than betray my values, so I leave the fate of Balena Productions to the viewers. I know attention spans are shorter than ever but I want to go against the grain and expand minds, not shrink them.

For now, celebrate our victory! I look forward to bringing you more entertainment very soon!
