Fit for a queen (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons!.

Today, we have a very special update. An essential piece of the story, a central location, has finally seen the light of the moon, Mel's Castle "Castle Rosethorn"!

When I started the project nearly 5 years ago, I knew that Mel's castle had to be perfect. I spent months looking for the right castle model, but it was a seemingly impossible task. Instead of using a pre-built castle, I decided to buy some modular castle assets, and build it myself. It's still not completely finished, some minor details need to be changed, and many of the environments are changed on the fly as I animate, but it is overall complete! In picture 3, you can also see Mel's emblem for the castle which was designed by me, and finalized by melancholybat . Mel keeps the castle in tip top shape. She found a cavern below the castle filled with magic crystals and other gems that light the castle instead of traditional torches. Mel LOVES crystals, gems, and all related, and she fills her home with magic light to create a place fit for her enormous personality. Mel may live alone in these empty halls, but she does have small creature like servants that cook, clean, and obey her every command. In the movie, the castle is a main set piece, and once I finish some final details I will be moving on to some interior environments, so look forward to seeing more soon!

Thanks to all of your generous pledges, and the amazing folks who have commissioned us on the streams, I have been able to get back to working full time on the project. This environment has taken roughly 2 weeks to get to this point. I have worked 72 hours in the past 2 weeks, and that's a huge increase from just 5 or so hours a week as I had to look to other work to make up for YouTube gutting the channel, so I cannot thank you all enough! As long as things stay stable, things are looking very good for the movie.

It is my hope, that starting soon I can start animating a crucial scene when Sonic and Amy approach the castle and meet Mel for the first time. If all goes well, I'd like to show this scene possibly at this year's Sonic Revolution in person if it happens. So stay tuned for more details!
