Hello, friends!

As some of you know, Jim Henry and I gave an all-Dave Carter Tribute Concert via livestream on April 16. During that show, we shared a rough mix of a haunting song called "Fallen Angel" that Dave Carter and I recorded for the TANGLEWOOD TREE album but never released.

As the song played, I wished I had shared it with you all first. That's part of why you're here, right? To support the unearthing of these gems and get a first look at them. I goofed, and I apologize for that. I promise that you will, most definitely, be the first people with whom I share future treasures from the archives.

This lyric video -- my first ever -- is being released to Patreon first, and exclusively. It may serve the legacy best to release it publicly in the future, but this version is yours and yours alone. Your patronage makes projects like this possible, and I couldn't be more grateful to have your support.

I'd love to hear what you think! And if there's another song you'd like a lyric video for, I could definitely use the practice and the direction -- just let me know in the comment section. Thank you. xotg

Hearing for the first time...haunting and disquieting, and a song I'll need to hear several times to catch more layers.

Blown away. How special to hear new (to me) D&T. Thanks Tracy!

Lynsey McCoskey

Just incredible. It's a real blessing to get new (old) Dave & Tracy content.

John and I just watched. Lyrics very helpful. So beautiful!! Thanks!

Wow. Lyrics helpful, and beautifully done.

Pat Daddona

Love it. Minor detail (as a high school history teacher used to say): do you have pix of you and Dave together with his banjo in his hands? I do love e how the words scroll lower on the screen and how you use italics. Nicely done.

i attended the all Dave Carter Tribute and loved that you included a recording of you and Dave from the archive. and unlike an -in-person concert, i got to hear it again when i streamed it the next night. And now to have Fallen Angel here with lyrics is extra special because we can listen again. I am in awe of the depth of Dave's writing and thank you for carrying on his legacy while finding your own voice as a singer-songwriter, writer, performer. And your collaboration with Jim Henry just gets better and better. Thank you

Absolutely valid. Thought about that with every frame I created. Wondered who would be the first to mention it (!). You win! Haha. There ARE banjo/violin photos in the archives that need scanning; this was the best one I had on my computer so I went with it, as it was also our last promo shot. Glad you enjoyed the video otherwise! :)
