¡Hola a todos! 👋
Over the next few days, development will be focused mainly on:
Polishing the current climate regions.
Improving nighttime lighting and conditions.
Testing more transitions between different regions.
Continuing dust storm and tropical storm testing.
Fixing any issues discovered during road testing.
Preparing Regional Weather for its first public release.
With Radio MX already released, I can now focus a larger part of my development time on finishing and polishing the Regional Weather system.
If the next tests continue progressing well, the current goal remains to have a first version ready toward the end of August.
I'll also continue sharing screenshots, videos and testing as we get closer to release.🚛 Coming Next

Hello everyone! 👋
There has been a lot of progress this week on two of the projects I've recently been working on: the new Regional Weather system for Mexico and Radio MX.
Regional Weather in particular has reached a much more advanced stage and, after the latest tests, the first version is starting to feel very close.
🌦️ Regional Weather — Giving every region its own personality
The idea behind this project is to make traveling across Mexico feel different depending on where you are.
Instead of having almost the same weather conditions across the entire map, I'm developing different environments depending on the region you're driving through.
I'm currently working on several climate types:
🏜️ Desert
Drier and warmer atmosphere.
Lighting and colors adapted to northern Mexico.
Dust storms capable of significantly reducing visibility.
🌴 Pacific and tropical regions
A stronger sense of humidity.
Much heavier rainfall.
Wet roads and conditions that can make driving more challenging.
⛰️ Mountain regions
Colder atmosphere.
More clouds and fog.
Different lighting compared with desert and tropical regions.
🌄 Central Mexico
More temperate conditions.
Adjusted skies and lighting to give this region its own identity.
I'm also continuing to work on the general clear-weather environment, which will serve as the base for many of the transitions between these conditions.
🌪️ Dust storms and tropical storms
This week's testing focused especially on two conditions.
The first one was the desert dust storms.
Once you enter one of these storms, visibility begins to decrease significantly and driving at high speed quickly becomes a bad idea.
I also continued testing the tropical rainstorms, where the combination of heavy rain and wet pavement helps make driving feel noticeably different.
One of my main goals with this project is for weather to not only be a visual change, but something that also affects the driving experience.
🔄 Transitions between regions
Another important advancement has been the transition system between different climate regions.
During the first tests, one of my main concerns was that weather could change instantly when crossing from one region into another.
Fortunately, testing has shown that the transitions can happen progressively, allowing the environment to gradually change as you continue driving.
This makes moving from a dry region into a tropical, mountainous or wetter area feel much more natural.
There are still several things I'm adjusting, especially:
Nighttime lighting.
Rain intensity.
Fog.
Sky colors.
Transitions between clear and bad weather.
Weather consistency throughout different times of day.
But the main system is already working in-game.
📅 When will it be available?
Based on this week's progress, my current goal is to have a first playable version ready toward the end of August.
⚠️ This is not a confirmed release date yet.
I want to continue testing before announcing a specific day. I would rather delay the release by a few days if necessary than publish a version with major problems.
However, if the next tests continue progressing as they have so far, the first release is getting very close.
📻 Radio MX
Development also continued this week on Radio MX, a new offline radio station created especially for your trips across Mexico.
The first version already includes a selection of music that can be properly used in the project, along with several original Radio MX jingles and station IDs.
This week I worked on:
🎵 Song selection and review.
🔊 Volume adjustment and normalization.
🎙️ Jingle integration.
🖼️ Radio MX artwork and in-game identity.
🛠️ Fixing several issues found during early testing.
The radio is now working correctly inside the game and the first version is almost complete.
The plan is to continue expanding it in future versions with more music, new jingles and possibly additional features.
